You can't have a good RPG without good companions. When they're not helping you in battle or carrying around all the useless items you've looted, they entertain you with little jokes and help you remember your morals. In many cases, they also make great romantic partners. Few games balance this as well as Baldur's Gate 3.
It's great to have a pet like Scratch with you in the gang, but sometimes you just want a little companion to snuggle up with on those cold Faerun nights. If a halfling or dwarf isn't available, I've created a mod that allows one player to carry an owlbear plush or teddy on their back.
Travel through Baldur's Gate 3 in style
If you've flown anywhere recently, you've probably seen a lot of people attaching dolls to their backpacks. I'm not sure why this is, but you can now do this in Baldur's Gate 3 as well. A mod called Teddypack by cloudie allows you to carry around a backpack with a teddy bear or owlbear attached to it.
Just because you're trying to save a kingdom from an evil wanderer doesn't mean you can't travel with an emotional support doll. The Owlbear backpack is currently only available for body type 1, but the Teddy variant comes in two options: a regular backpack and a large backpack with a sleeping bag. You can find it in the tutorial chest or purchase it from Arron in Act 1, Talli in Act 2, and Hoots in Act 3.
The plush backpack takes up your character's underwear slot, so you'll have to choose between a cute companion and Baldur's Gate 3's trademark slutty underwear. I hope the creators come out with owlbear variants for more body types. Look how adorable it is!
After Larian enabled console players to access the mod, things got a little difficult. With a variety of weapons, outfits, new spells, character features, and creative subclasses available, it's nice to see that there are lovely mods like this to personalize Baldur's Gate 3 a bit more.
