Metal Flowers are one of the strangest collectibles you can find. Horizon Zero Dawn RemasteredTheir existence is only explained at the end of the game. There are quite a few of them, and each one has some kind of poem attached to it, making it look like someone placed them where they are on purpose.
If you know where to look, you can spot them because they are all surrounded by pinkish, triangular flowers. You'll need to find 30 of them in total, and they come in sets of three. Maps you buy from merchants will show you where to find them, but some are actually hidden and require some searching.

Horizon Zero Dawn: All Hunting Grounds Locations
Hunting Ground Trials are gauntlet-type activities in Horizon Zero Dawn that players can participate in to earn rewards over time.
Most metal flowers in the first set. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered You can find it while exploring Nora Land at the start of the game. You need to find a total of 10.
Metal flower mark 1 (A) location
You can find this Metal Flower in the bunker you explored as a child in the prologue. Once you're an adult and in control of Aloy, return to the bunker and go through it until you reach the first area where you found the holographic lock (when she was a child). Nearby is a doorway obscured by stalagmites. Destroy it with the spear and you will see a flower inside.
Metal Flower Mark 1 (B) Location
The second flower can be found next to the mountain behind Aloy and Rost's house. To get there, go to the fast travel point near your house. Then find the gate right next to the house and go through it. Along the way you will see a series of zip lines and ropes that you can walk along the mountain face to the right. Follow these ropes and ziplines and you will eventually reach the flower.
Metal Flower Mark 1 (C) Location
You can find this flower right outside (outside) the door of the Embrace. It's next to a small destroyed house.
Metal Flower Mark 1 (D) Location
This flower is located to the east of the Demon King's Thirst Ruins. You have to travel a little further from the ruins to find them perched on a hill.
Metal Flower Mark 1 (E) Location
You can find this flower in the Demon's Sorrow Ruins during the quest Nora's Revenge.
Metal Flower Mark 1 (F) Location
If you find a bunker with the Shield Weaver armor, you will see this flower on the left as soon as you enter the bunker. This may be while swimming in the water, but it's easy to miss.
Metal Flower Mark 1 (G) Location
This flower is also found in the Demon's Sorrow Ruins. Luckily, it's one of the easiest to find, as it's one of the few that's right under the marker on the map.
Metal Flower Mark 1 (H) Location
You can obtain this flower before heading to Meridian or upon completing and completing The Grave Hoard main quest. It's pretty far north on the map, and there are a few dangerous machines around, but the flower itself is right in the passage.
Metal Flower Mark 1(I) Location
You can find this flower nestled among the trees just south of a small settlement called Hunter's Gathering. There are a lot of machines in this area though, so watch out for random attacks.
Metal Flower Mark 1 (J) Location
The final flower in Set 1 can be found along the road to Daytower, when you first head to Meridian. It's on the right as you follow the road, nestled between the rocks on the side of the mountain.
The second set of Metal Flowers is spread across the map where Meridian is located. Some of them may be hard to find, but remember that if you get lost, you can use Focus to find them. Set 2 contains a total of 10 flowers.
Metal Flower Mark 2 (A) Location
You can find this flower north of the Dawn Sentinel Gate, guarded by a group of Scrappers.
Metal Flower Mark 2 (B) Location
This flower is located northeast of the Daytower, right next to the large metal ruins, and is guarded by a swarm of Snapmaws. If you look at the river, it's a small island right in the center.
Metal Flower Mark 2 (C) Location
If you follow the path north from Lone Light, you will see this flower when the path splits.
Metal Flower Mark 2 (D) Location
To obtain this flower, you must climb the cliff just north of Sunfall. There is a path you can follow along the side of the cliff, but watch out for the Glinthawk guarding it.
Metal Flower Mark 2 (E) Location
This flower is located near the Thunderjaw site, west of Freeheap. It's in the center of the area, so you'll have to sneak past the two monster machines to get it, or fight them before you do.
Metal Flower Mark 2 (F) Location
This flower can be found south of Peachcliff and near a contaminated area with two Rockbreakers. It sits atop an outcrop.
Metal Flower Mark 2 (G) location
This flower is located in the northernmost area of the map. To get there you can follow the road to Pitchcliff, but go further up. It's on a small outcrop on the right side of the road, with a Stormbird circling around it.
Metal Flower Mark 2 (H) Location
This flower can be found near Sunfall, west of the Banuk statue. It may be difficult to find your way there, but you can find it in the canyon by following the cliffs.
Metal Flower Mark 2(I) Location
Look for this flower atop the mesa you explore with Erend while completing The Field of the Fallen. To the south and nearby is the Glinthawk site.
Metal Flower Mark 2 (J) Location
There is this flower at the western edge of the map. This is near a large body of water with quite a few Snapmaw living on it, but if you approach from the land side you can pass by them if you wish.
The final set of Metal Flowers can also be found around Meridian, most of them in the jungle area of the map. Like the other sets, you can find a total of 10 flowers.
Metal Flower Mark 3 (A) Location
This flower, southeast of the meridian, is located along the path where you can find the Sawtooth constellation. It's right on the road, so just follow the flowers marked on the map.
Metal Flower Mark 3 (B) Location
You can find this flower near the area where you saved Olin's family from collateral. It's right in the middle of the Glinthawk site here, so you may have to sneak past or fight to get it.
Metal Flower Mark 3 (C) Location
If you're heading to the set, you may have to backtrack a bit to find these flowers. When traveling from Hunter's Gathering to Daytower, instead of following the path in a straight line, go right (to the fork) and go up the mountain. It is located on a small hill above the Sawtooth site on the mountain.
Metal Flower Mark 3 (D) Location
Cauldron XI is found in the jungle, which is also taken over by Eclipse once you get there. This flower can be found near this cauldron, right next to one of the entrances and near the bellowback site.
Metal Flower Mark 3 (E) Location
This flower can be found on the mesa south of the meridian. You can also meet merchants along the way.
Metal Flower Mark 3 (F) Location
This flower is found near Tallneck in the jungle, quite south of the meridian. It's right next to one of the campfires you can find here.
Metal Flower Mark 3 (G) location
You can find the flower in the field on the right by following the right path to a map marker showing where this flower is.
Metal Flower Mark 3 (H) Location
You can also find this flower in Tallneck, the second one you find in the game. It can be difficult to access if you're approaching it from the Daytower, but if you ignore the Tallneck and descend, you'll basically be right next to the flower on the other side of the water.
Metal Flower Mark 3(I) Location
While completing the Honor of the Corrupted quest, you will be asked to help Banuk eliminate Glinthawk. This metal flower is at the top of the mesa that you need to clear for him.
Metal Flower Mark 3 (J) Location
Outside of Lone Light there is a bridge and a flower is located right underneath it.
With this you will collect all the metal flowers. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. There is a special merchant in Meridian who will exchange each set for a unique reward, so look for him in the city if you can.
