To survive the zombie apocalypse, you'll need not only the most powerful weapons, but also items that can restore your health when you start to tire. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster includes a variety of foods and drinks to help you and your survivors get back into the fight. Some items are plentiful to find, while others require a bit of effort but are worth the effort to acquire.
So which foods heal you the most and which ones do more than just restore a few blocks of health? It may be a zombie apocalypse, but you can eat like a king at Willamette Parkview Mall if you know where to look. Here are the eight best food and drink items in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.
8 milk
Simple but efficient
Milk is one of the most common foods you can find in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. These foods are ubiquitous in malls and offer a pretty decent health boost. These products can sometimes come out of boxes or be found in empty stores.
Milk appears to be very similar to orange juice in size and even heals the same amount of 4 blocks of health. Milk can be found in abundance in good food and objects. Milk is also an essential ingredient for making the best juice blends in the game. However, there are better options in terms of food and beverage items.
7 wine
Survive the outbreak with class
One of the most luxurious drinks in the entire game is wine. The cafeteria has a generous selection of wines available for when you need a quick pick-me-up. You can also find endless supplies at Seon's Food and Stuff.
Wine heals Frank's 4 health blocks, but it also has a secondary purpose. You can use a blender to blend two wines together to create a quick-step blended juice. So whether you're looking to drink it yourself or use it later to access one of the best blended juices in the game, you can always conveniently pick up a bottle whenever you find it.
6 orange juice
juice is loose
Coffee creamer and orange juice both appear to heal 4 blocks of damage. But that doesn't mean they're equal in terms of usability. You'll have to head to Sean's Food and Stuff to take advantage of their endless sources of coffee creamer, but orange juice is much more accessible.
Unlimited orange juice is provided on the second floor of Paradise Plaza. This is an easy item to stock up on when you go out scoop shopping. In addition to this, the location of the feeder is right next to the honey blender and within jumping distance of the katana. So you can be properly prepared in just one visit.
5 golden brown pizza
Put the pizza in the microwave
An easy-to-miss detail that only Dead Rising veterans will remember is that frozen meals can be cooked to increase efficiency. This can be done by placing items such as frozen vegetables in the microwave. One of the best items to do this is frozen pizza, which turns golden brown when cooked.
Pixelated pizza has never looked better. If you take it fresh out of the microwave and place it in your inventory, you'll notice that the item art is slightly different. The pizza also smokes to prove it's fresh and ready to eat for 4 healthy blocks.
4 Well done steak
A feast for the hungry
Another item you can cook is steak. You can get a well-cooked steak by putting it in the microwave. This item is one of the basic foods that provides the most healing without having to convert it to juice first. Raw meat heals 3 blocks, but once cooked, a well-cooked steak heals a whopping 6 health blocks.
Does the Willamette Mall really have the best meat in town? That's what you need to do to survive Infinity Mode. But don't forget to cook raw meat. Otherwise, you may end up with spoiled meat that doesn't taste good to eat.
3 nectar
The most readily available mixed juice
If you're looking past the foods readily available at the supermarket, it's time to turn your attention to mixed juices. These are some of the best food and drink items you can get in the game, but they require a little more effort than usual.
Nectar is the easiest juice blend to obtain. You can provide an infinite supply of honey by utilizing the infinite spawn rate on the second floor of Paradise Plaza or orange juice. Drinking this juice restores 6 blocks of health and grants you a queen that you can immediately add to your inventory, so it acts as a double item.
Two wines get the rights
Fleetfoot is another fantastic healing item. Coincidentally, you can also mix this drink by putting two bottles of wine in a blender. Again, this concoction restores 6 blocks of health, but has more useful effects than honey.
Fleetfoot allows Frank West to travel faster on foot. This is a very useful ability. Because it helps you get the scoop faster when you're pressed for time. It is also a faster method than using a skateboard. So, if you're already going for wine and have a little extra time, throw it in your blender and upgrade with this useful item.
1 energizer
The perfect defense against psychopaths
Psychopaths in Dead Rising can be your most annoying enemies if you want to stick to the clock. They can withstand a lot of damage and will go down several times before finally calming down.
The best way to deal with them is to have powerful items that can take them down. However, if your level is low, you may actually end up finishing it a few times. Energizer heals 6 health blocks but makes you invincible for a limited time. This might be just what you need to take on some of the toughest bosses in the game.
