Although the pace picked up as the League of Villains emerged as serious villains with enormous powers, this issue came out too late and followed unimportant plot points and story beats.

Seeing Deku take control of an entirely different force in the form of Blackwhip would be a success in Season 6. Similar to how Season 4 struggled to live up to its predecessor, Season 7 faces an uphill battle to live up to its predecessor as a worthy follow-up. While exciting in a vacuum, the Final War Arc's impact is somewhat neutralized by the presence of the Paranormal Liberation War Arc, a similar but more confusing and intense storyline. Ideally, it should be viewed as one continuous saga rather than separate battles, but it is broken up into three short arcs that slow the pace. More importantly, Season 7 doesn't feel as fresh as the 2022 entry.

To be clear: My Hero Academia Season 7 is still fun. The Star and Stripe Arc kicked things off on an epic note by pitting All for One (in Shigaraki's body) against America's greatest hero. While it only lasts about two episodes, this fight is one of the best fights in anime, with both characters trying to kill it right away. The only thing that holds this arc back from pure greatness is that Star and Stripe are minor characters in the grand scheme of things.

UA Traitor Arc has an interesting premise that unfortunately doesn't amount to much. The idea that one of the students provided information to All For One may have been a good one, but the reveal was thwarted by relying on a character who couldn't convey this kind of drama. The betrayal was also quickly swept under the rug.

Ultimately, these two small arcs were simply setting the stage for the final war, an all-out war on multiple fronts. Unlike the somewhat one-sided Paranormal Liberation War Arc, this contest is much more fair, with the heroes surpassing the villains. Ultimately, Shigaraki/All For One's battle with Deku becomes the focus, but dozens of characters on both sides get their time to shine. Final War is good for moments of greatness.

Fans were eager to see how Midoriya and the rest of Class 1-A utilized their powers, and the anime certainly didn't disappoint in this regard. Sure, Midoriya was still a self-destructive lunatic, but he found new, intelligent ways to use his powers that didn't leave him crippled after a single use.

The show, now in its second season, has some iconic moments, including the incredible fight between Midoriya and Todoroki that was pure spectacle and delivered on all fronts. The fact that Midoriya was able to unlock Full Cowl and control the use of One for All was also very welcome, and the introduction of Gran Torino slowly revealed All Might's unique and interesting backstory.

The arc that took place in Season 3 was amazing, fleshing out the backstories of several characters and proving once again why the League of Villains is a group to fear in the series. Perhaps the biggest reason why many fans rate this season so highly is because it features All Might's final superhero battle before his retirement.

His fight against All For One is filled with emotion, and his final blow essentially serves as a passing of the torch to Midoriya. The students also get to shine in the season's various arcs, as Midoriya and Bakugo's battles help the latter character evolve in ways no one could have predicted.

1 season 6

After two quite disappointing seasons, My Hero Academia Not only did it need to come back with a bang, but it also needed to compensate for the legwork from the previous arc. Fortunately, Season 6 gave the anime a major boost, delivering its most powerful story yet in the supernatural war of liberation. As the heroes attempt to knock the villains off their knees, they launch an all-out assault that very quickly spirals out of control, resulting in casualties and unprecedented collateral damage on both sides.

The first half of season 6 My Hero Academia It's the most engrossing, consequential and epic. Each episode builds on the latter and leads to a thrilling and unforgettable conclusion. The Dark Hero Arc is also pretty good. It's pretty good, though your mileage will vary depending on viewers' opinions of Deku, as he takes center stage in almost all of it. This storyline ends on a quieter note, contrasting with the nearly non-stop action that preceded it, setting up Season 7 in the process.
