Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Jingle Hells event is not going over well with fans.

Many lament the unfair difficulty, lack of rewards, and underwhelming new additions.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies celebrates the festive season with the return of Jingle Hells from Cold War.
This time around, the Liberty Falls map has been completely revamped, removing mystery boxes, crafting tables, armory machines, and adding a quirky Gobblegum called Holiday Cheer, a snowball, a Naughty or Nice power-up, a snowman, gifts, and a new round of Cold Front.
What Players Think: “Awful” and “Boring.”
However, the event is not going down well with fans, who call it “annoying”.
“No scrap means getting stuck with the wrong loadout gun, gambling on getting the wrong gun as a gift, or gambling on wallbuys to upgrade every 5 rounds,” Reddit user DukeOfTheDodos posted. “Don’t get me wrong Jingle Hells slaps aesthetics, but the gameplay is downright terrible.”
LALALANDabc responded: “It's really boring and soulless. It's not fun at all, it's just annoying.” “Vermin rounds are terrible. They make it look like a blizzard is coming. They slow you down and the Vermin eat you.”
“I played with two friends and we both lost in the 11th round. […] SirHaydo added: “It looks cool, but the overall approach is poor.”
There are several similar posts on the subreddit that seek attention, claiming that the rewards are lacking and the gameplay is overly challenging, but there are also others who enjoy the difficulty and play the mode simply for the fun of it and not for its unique calling card or XP.
“I'm seeing too many posts about challenges in Jingle Hells and players feeling like it's not worth doing because they're not getting any rewards,” Raidmax460 posted. “This was the original purpose of Zombies: an endless horde mode, no rewards needed, just an added bonus.”
However, netizens point out that the problem with the difficulty level is not that it is too much, but that it is unfair.
litllerobert said “They made it like classic mode but kept most of the changes from regular zombies like hit range”. “If you can't get the plates, make the hit range shorter. If you can't upgrade the rarity of the weapon, [Pack-a-Punching] Worth at least 5x more so I can make up for it […] Of course, if you just remove the basic elements, the mod will become much more difficult.”
Clearly, Jingle Hells has already proven to be incredibly divisive.
Forced to become a rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a time of transition and upheaval in world politics, including the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With an engrossing story and no rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 campaign delivers dynamic, moment-to-moment gameplay with blockbuster set pieces and a variety of play areas featuring action-packed moments, dangerous heists, and cloak-and-dagger espionage.
In a best-in-class multiplayer experience, players will test their skills on 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and four Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of round-based Zombies, a fan-favorite mode that sees players take down hordes of the undead across two new maps at launch. After launch, players can expect even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences for both multiplayer and zombies.
