with Borderlands 4 Now, as we approach the one-month anniversary, many players have made it through the story, reached level 50, and started tackling the Ultimate Vault Hunter mode or all of the above. That means a lot of eyes are now on Borderlands 4The first major DLC of the future awaits players in the first quarter of 2026, along with Vaults of Mad Ellie and The Vault of the Damned. There's still a lot of time between now and then, and only a handful of information has been revealed about the DLC's content so far, but the perfect setup already seems clear.
Although the first DLC pack has been confirmed, Borderlands 4 We'll see the return of a fan favorite as we bring in the new Vault Hunter C4SH. border zone The character Ellie, and its setting, are mostly left under wraps. Aside from Gearbox's cryptic comments about where the DLC will take place in Kairos, all that is known about it is that it will introduce a new area, and it doesn't officially point to a specific location on the map. But eagle-eyed players have discovered the entire map of Kairos hidden away. Borderlands 4The Carcadia Burn region leads to speculation about where the DLC could actually take place.
The map itself only labels areas that are currently accessible. Borderlands 4of Kairos, but the rest of what appears to be a potentially navigable landscape lies bare. The lands in the northwest, northeast, and southeast corners of the map all exist, but are not currently used in the game, so what players currently have access to has more to do with the sun around which the DLC regions can rotate. This does not necessarily confirm your settings Borderlands 4However, the Crazy Ellie DLC paired with what Gearbox had already said.
The setting for Borderlands 4's Mad Ellie DLC may be etched into the image.
So far, the only thing Gearbox has confirmed about the setting for the game's Crazy Ellie DLC is climate. during Borderlands 4Prior to the pre-launch Pax West panel, Gearbox noted that the first DLC would take place in a “Snowy” region, and early concept art showing Ellie in warm, fur-lined clothing supports that description. Considering the biomes that already exist in Kairos, we can further narrow down where the first DLC could be set.
Borderlands 4 It may take place in a seamless open world, but still offers a variety of biomes. Currently, players can explore the lush Greenland of the Fadefields, the harsh deserts of the Arcadia Burn, the bitter cold of the Terminus range, and the sci-fi urban environments of the Dominion. Given the fact Borderlands 4The Mad Ellie DLC takes place in a snowy region in addition to the Kairos map found in Arcadia Burn.
The northeastern section of the Borderlands 4 map appears to be unused.
That's not the end of the speculation with the farthest northern corner. Borderlands 4There is a map of Kairos but it is not currently in use. You can also put a custom pin in that area of the map, although it's not currently accessible. Players can also place a dowel in the unused southeast corner, which could also tie into future DLC, but there are no gray-free lands in that area yet. Therefore, it seems like Borderlands 4The Mad Ellie DLC will be set in a region that serves as an extension of the scope of Terminus.
Probably the only caveat is that Borderlands 4The new Vault Hunter C4SH has a western vibe, suggesting a desert area rather than a snowy one. C4SH may indeed come from the Northwestern region connected to the Arcadia Burn, but it's unlikely that future DLC will go beyond Mad Ellie and the Vaults of the Damned. However, areas northwest of the Arcadia Burn may actually see snow, consistent with maps found there, which show green areas northwest of the Arcadia Burn and northeast of the Terminus Range. But now it is Borderlands 4The first DLC is in the northeast.
