Baldur's Gate 3 has some of the most memorable companions in video game history. Sure, it's a bold statement for a relatively recently released game, but we won't forget Shadowheart, Lae'zel, Karlach, Gale, and especially Astarion. We might forget Wyll because no one cares about him.

After a year, I finally corrected my mistakes in Baldur's Gate 3.
I made a lot of mistakes in Baldur's Gate 3, so my second playthrough was about correcting them.
To give you an example of how memorable these companions are, one fan recreated them in a game that is not at all close to the RPG genre. Thanks to the efforts of a fan and the Sim Creation Tool, some lovable misfits are coming to The Sims 4. Considering there are races of different appearances, they've done a pretty good job.

Reddit user u/Pristine-Musician-10, probably a fan of Volo, used all the tools he needed to create the five companions mentioned above, along with Scratch and Dark Urge. However, because they were limited to assets provided by the Sims, “I was somewhat limited in what I had: Lae'zel's skin color, Karlach's burn scars, Wyll's cornrows were not what I wanted, and I knew what to do for Dirge (Dark Erge).” “I had no idea what to do.”
They even gave each Sim starting traits based on their characters from Baldur's Gate 3.
- Lae'zel — Confident, ambitious, and mean-spirited.
- Shadowheart — Self-absorbed, loner, kleptomaniac?
- Astarion — evil, romantic, mean
- Gail — genius, cat lover, bookworm
- Wyll — Okay. Practice makes perfect. Extroverted.
- Karlach — hot-tempered, kind-hearted, outgoing
- Scratch — loyalty, adventure, detective
- Durge — evil, mean, irregular.
If these Sims all ended up living in the same house, we might finally get the Baldur's Gate 3 '90s sitcom we never knew we wanted. In fact, the creators also had plans to create relationships between Sims. “I was going to start Laezel and Shadowheart off with a small romance meter, but I think it would be better to see what happens.”
Of all the BG3 X Sims characters, I think my favorite is Astarion. Lae'zel looks more like Gamora from The Guardians of the Galaxy and Karlach has clearly skipped a few days of weight training. But Durge is by far the funniest one. Strapped into Sims 4's creation tool, the only way I found to spawn Durge was to attach a dragon mascot head to his body wearing an all-white trench coat.
Baldur's Gate 3 Who wouldn't want to see a show where all their companions share a home? Chaos can be expected, but it's not as bad as this messy playthrough.
