Dagoth Ur of Morrowind is now a Skyrim follower, but there's something strange about him

I'm thrilled because Dagoth Ur is back. The talented DerKernel has created a new fully voiced (AI-based) Dagoth Ur companion mod for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

For the uninitiated, Dagoth Ur is the main antagonist of The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. The Chimer, formerly known as Voryn, absorbed the power of the Heart of Lorkhan and began using the nickname Dagoth Ur. He was believed to have been destroyed in a clash with the hero Nerevar.

The Tribunal of Almalexia, Vivec of Sotha Sil, used the Heart to gain god-like status and rule Morrowind for thousands of years. When they returned to Red Mountain to renew their power, they found the resurrected Dagoth Ur and an army of ash vampires seeking to overthrow their priesthood.

As they say, the rest is history. Two hundred years after another defeat, Dagoth Ur returned, this time at the hands of the Nerevarine. This time he returns as the companion of the last Dragonborn whom he believes to be Nerevarine.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the reborn Dagoth Ur is now a chronic online version of himself. It's become a running gag in the Elder Scrolls community that Ur are smarter, skibidi-loving divine beings, and DerKernel made these traits a reality.

“Do you think the wet dream was Vaermina’s doing, or is that more optimistic?” Ur asks the Dragonborn while wandering through the picturesque Norse countryside.

Ur has many similar emotions that he can and will express during their adventures together. Ur has over 1,300 lines, according to the mod description, each line written by a human and voiced by an artificial intelligence.

DerKernel said it had full permission to use the AI voice set that generated Ur's dialogue.

“Dagoth is very vulgar, very inappropriate, and has a hugely expanded sense of humor. That's why he tagged Nexus 18+. If you don't like that kind of thing, this mod is not for you,” DerKernel wrote.
