Pokemon card thief arrested for disrupting 'small talk'
A thief who stole hundreds of Pokemon cards and tried to resell them to a gaming store is behind bars while staff delay him.
All of the retired Pokémon have been revealed via Game Freak's Teraleak.
In addition to leaks of upcoming and prototype Pokémon, we've also seen quite a few scrapped Pokémon. This unused Pokemon was collected by u/vagrantwade from the r/PokeLeaks Beta Leaks Megathread. In this post you'll find a 'Gen 3 Prototype' spreadsheet document (originally edited by The Cutting Room Floor) showing all the lost Pokemon that have been unearthed. Most fall into two broad categories: Orange (likely obsolete before February 2002) and pink (likely obsolete after March 2002). The exact dates are very vague, so these benchmarks should not be taken as gospel.

Orange is definitely the largest category of unreleased Pokemon discovered in the leak. Many of these creatures have names that haven't undergone the changes that most Pokémon receive, mainly because each name deviates little from its original Japanese counterpart. An example of this in these leaks is the Pokemon Wailmer, which was once shown to go by the name 'Hoeruko'.
As with other Pokemon leaks, small details were just as easily leaked as big ones. Many of the Pokémon listed have developer notes, many of which are evidence of why these Pokémon were ultimately left behind. The bug-like Bii, which is said to have been replaced by Wingull, has a note saying 'I'm going to change the color'. This coincides with the transition to Wingull, another flying Pokémon but with a different color scheme. Some Pokémon, like Sudowoodo and Keromeelo, were deemed too similar to other Pokémon, while others received lukewarm comments like Rikugin's 'I like the idea, but…'
Monorabi, a Pokemon that looks like Eevee is a fire type, received one of the most unflattering criticisms, with a simple note saying it 'looks deformed'. Like other Orange Category Pokémon scheduled for retirement before February 2002, Monoravi's bio contains few details. On the other hand, some pink category Pokemon have a little story attached to them.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: 25 Best Dragon Types in the Game

Discarded starter Pokemon Warabito
Starter Pokemon are some of the most iconic Pokemon of each generation, but some are left behind. An example shown in the article is Pokémon Warabito, a rabbit-like creature wearing a life jacket that was once destined to be a Gen 3 starter.
Based on concept art depicting the original Warabito, fans were able to piece together that the rabbit would once be a Water-type starter. This means that Warabitto has been replaced by the beloved Pokemon Mudkip, but many fans don't seem to mind Warabitto returning, and the Mercury Bunny is quickly gaining its share of fan art.
Pink Category Pokemon

- Kodomon

- Ulon
- Archeon
- Yuuuu
Animals in the pink category have received more information than other leaked Pokémon, but are unlikely to ever see the light of day. Still, the fact that these Pokémon are a bit more advanced than their Orange counterparts means that there's more to their name to tell. For example, Archeon has many 'undetermined' notes about its characteristics, such as 'the scales formed into wings' and 'its appearance has not changed since the age of the dinosaurs'. In fact, another note in the spreadsheet section calls it a 'living fossil' with feather scales strong enough to cut iron.
Uulon is another Pokémon with a thorough lore, with numerous descriptions of its nomadic nature. Puruun is similar, including many details surrounding his diet and love of flying. Evolotto is a strange case, as a lot of the lore surrounding this canceled Pokémon is related to its ability to evolve into any Pokémon, a trait that is almost similar to Ditto's core ability. However, the 'Unconfirmed' section of the note suggests that 'transformation' evolves into 'various' Pokémon, which further confuses the true nature of the concept.
Still, like the rest of these Pokemon leaks, some of the scrapped Pokemon in the pink category have criticism attached to them. Some of these are criticisms related to Pokémon that resemble too much of their companions, such as Otoma's note 'I want them to be less similar to Poliwag'. Even more humorous is Kodomon. Kodomon, with the note 'looks like Dragon Quest', may display a smiling face and wide eyes that actually resemble the famous slime from Dragon Quest.
