How to Unlock and Equip the Rogue Specialization

The Rogue specialization is available at level 15, but only unlocks the Combo Point specialization, one of three choices. At level 20 the Inner Sight specialization becomes available, and at level 30 you unlock the final specialization, Preparation.

However, to actually use these Rogue specializations, players will need to complete the associated quest lines. Once your Rogue reaches level 15, you'll see that their quest log is updated with the “True Potential” quest, entering the Forsaken Quarry dungeon. Combo points are optionally unlocked once Bakira is defeated and the quest is completed. After this initial quest is completed, other choices will automatically unlock as you reach level 20 and level 30, with no requirements.

The Inner Vision specialization displays a purple icon on random enemies in the group. When players attack this enemy, they will gain Inner Sight, a new resource that appears next to the regular energy meter. When the Inner Sight meter is fully filled, it empties and the player's energy reserves are fully replenished.


The Inner Vision mark moves from enemy to enemy when the enemy dies or survives for more than 10 seconds while marked. This has no negative effect on the rogue and the mark simply moves to a new target. In boss fights, the Inner Sight indicator almost always remains on the boss itself, meaning that energy recharge takes a much faster time to progress.

Readiness Specialization – Unlocks at level 30

Consumes 75 energy to reduce ultimate cooldown by 5 seconds.

The ultimate resets all other cooldowns and grants 15% damage reduction for 10 seconds.

The Ready specialization reduces the cooldown of the Rogue's ultimate ability, but only after spending 75 energy. For every 75 energy a player spends on an ability, the cooldown of the ultimate ability is reduced by 5 seconds. Additionally, using your ultimate ability completely resets the cooldowns of all your other abilities and also grants you a nice 15% damage reduction. This damage reduction lasts for 10 seconds.


It may not seem like much, but players can build up and spend energy surprisingly quickly, especially in late-game Rogue builds. Ready is a skill worth building as it makes your ultimate ability a much more viable choice thanks to its near-ending potential for cooldowns and skill uptime, as well as its massive cooldown reduction. To take advantage of this cooldown reset as often as possible, choose a fast-recharging ultimate.
