Final Fantasy 14 mounts are considered by many to be status symbols in the game. Mounts are one of the best ways to show off your character to other players. As is usually the case with MMOs, there are many different types of mounts you can collect in Eorzea. The easiest mounts to stock up on should be on everyone's list, so acquiring them as quickly as possible is essential for the Warrior of Light.
Accessories are all about creating a strategy. Therefore, having your mount compliment your charm is also a must for the aspiring Warrior of Light. Variety is key, so settling for just standard chocobos doesn't always work. This is especially true for people who don't have time to take Savage-level difficulty exams. These are some of the best and easiest mounts to collect.

12 Chocobo
text
It would be a crime not to talk about the humble Chocobo, arguably the best Final Fantasy character of all time. This is the centerpiece of the series and the first mount accessible in Final Fantasy 14.
Even if you can unlock other mounts before the Chocobo, you won't be able to use them until you obtain the Chocobo through the main story quest. This happens in A Realm Reborn, so you can quickly get your feathered friend just by playing the game.
11 flying chair
Travel comfortably
The Flying Chair is a comfortable armchair that literally allows you to fly while reclining comfortably. Carpenters can craft this mount, so you can obtain it without much difficulty.
You can make it yourself, but it's much easier to buy it from the market. Flying chairs are generally one of the cheapest mounts available, so you can snag one without breaking the bank.
10 unicorn
Healing Life Consolation Award
Does the idea of riding around Eorzea in the most epic way possible tickle your fancy? Then look no further than unicorns. Being a functional healer is a thankless job in Final Fantasy 14, so those dedicated enough to level the Conjurer class to level 30 are rewarded like a sweet unicorn.
Path to Unicorn Dignity is unlocked after completing the Unicorn Power side quest as a level 30 wizard. Upon completing the quest, you will be given a Unicorn Whistle. Using this item will invoke a unicorn mount, permanently adding it to your mount list. easy.
9 Jonathas Achievement Mount
Behemoth, Ahriman, Magitec Deathclaw
Many new players may miss Jonathas, an NPC who helps them exchange the in-game achievements they earn for rewards. Jonathas can be found in Old Gridania (X:10.6 Y:6.3).
There you can exchange achievement certificates, including but not limited to: Behemoth Warhorn to summon a powerful Behemoth mount; The Magitek Death Claw Identification Key gives you access to the Death Claws, and you can use the Voidal Resonator to summon your own Ahriman mount. simply Playing the main scenario quests will eventually give you enough achievements for all of this.
8 dalmel
cheap thrills
The marketplace board is an interesting place for people who want to peruse merchandise and other user-sold items. Surprisingly, with enough Gil, mount collectors can sell a ton of mounts here. A notable mention is Dhalmel Mount.
Market prices vary greatly from server to server, but I've never heard of it exceeding $2 million. It may sound like too much at first, but what if the time comes? Not much.
7 cavalry drake
cheap fiery dragon
Completing beast tribe quests is an easy way to build your mount library. One of the cool ones is the Cavalry Drake mount, which can be purchased for 120,000 Gil after reaching Amalj'aa's trust rank.
Sure, that might sound like a mountain of paths for a single mount, but isn't riding a literal fire-breathing dragon really worth that much? After all, it breathes fire and walks on all fours. Cavalry Drake will be appreciated by any fan of the lizard-like mount aesthetic.
6 Bomb Kiln Mount
floating style
Don't you love riding majestic dragons? Maybe a throne holding a bomb would be more your style? This mount requires a bit more work, but it's very simple to get.
- Find the Kobold quest giver at the 789th Order Excavation Site in Outer La Noscea (x21, y18).
- Complete the Highway Robbery quest.
- Reach Trusted Reputation level 4.
- Buy the bomb palanquin mount for 120,000 gil.
Once you've scooped up this mountain, you'll be gliding spectacularly around Eorzea in your personal bomb-drawn chair.
5 Magitek Armor
they fly now
After progressing through Final Fantasy 14's main scenario quests, you'll have the opportunity to get around in style by owning your own Magitek Armor Mount. Progressing through A Realm Reborn's main scenario quests and completing the final weapon quest will reward players with this neat mount.
Another notable mention: When you receive this mount, you also gain the ability to fly with any mount. You get your own flying Magitek Armor
4 Black Chocobo
heaven ward
Another major scenario quest, the Black Chocobo, as they call it the easiest mount, will be yours very early on in the Heavensward expansion. This is doubly impressive because in the past it served as an introduction to flying.
That's no longer the case thanks to the life cycle of the Mid-Shadowbringers, which introduced flight to ARR, but hello. Still, you can get Black Chocobo completely free just by playing the game, which isn't bad at all.
3 Midgard Goosebumps
How to Train Elders
There is nothing better than flying on the back of a dragon. Unlike other mounts earned in main scenario quests, Midgardsormr's respect is earned through heroic deeds performed within the story, so the mount feels slightly more valuable than mounts earned in previous stories.
Midgardsormr, known to all as the Father of Dragons, has finally found you worthy of having his back. So don't pass it up. Because honestly, that's rude.
2 Cloud Mallow
Fluffy Bliss
While it's impossible to waltz through the MSQ, the Cloud Mallow is still a great ride for relatively easy, if time-consuming, feats of valor.
After earning Sworn, the Moogle Beast Tribe's level 7 reputation mark, you'll have the opportunity to rest your weary toes atop Cloud Mallow Mount and drift off into the sunset on Eorzea. From that point on, you can summon Cloud Mallow mounts by purchasing Cloud Mallow Seeds from Mogmul Mogbelly for 200,000 Gil.
1 Argus
best boy
Since you're now skipping to the Endwalker stage of the main scenario quest, needless to say, you'll have to play a few hundred hours of Final Fantasy 14 before this adorable, temporary golden retriever can be yours. . However, Argos can be picked up immediately and rewarded for continuing through the MSQ. There are no bells, whistles, or credit checks required.
You may get a sample of what it's like to ride high in the sky on a cute pup long before he or she is yours forever, but you can't dictate to your pup at that point. Dogs have a mind of their own.
