Fortnite's Adidas Collaboration Turns Peely into Real Sneakers

Fortnite has gained such a huge reputation that there aren't many companies and studios that wouldn't want their creations included in the game if they weren't already there. This also applies to real-world collaboration, and I think we'll see another example of this soon. Although not officially released, the first image is Peely-themed Adidas sneakers Shared online.

Shared by Hypex over the weekend but spotted by Loolo and Jimmylongnose, Adidas' Peely sneakers are expected to be popular. Available for purchase from March 22nd. Although it hasn't been confirmed, leakers hope it will be available in-game as well. This seems very likely, as the shoes are now a very popular cosmetic option after being introduced to Fortnite last year.

You can see for yourself what these Peely shoes look like in the leaked images below. The point is that they're designed to look like you're wearing high-end animated banana skins on your feet. The zipper, which is usually on the laces of regular sneakers, adds a light yellow tongue and a banana-themed design on the inside, giving the feeling that your feet are coming off every time you unzip them and take them out. go away.

It's a physical collection, but there may also be an in-game version.

The design also includes a blue Nana Nana sticker of the character so that anyone who sees you wearing these shoes will know that these are not just banana shoes, but a Fortnite product. Other designs that appear to be part of the same collection have also been shared by the same leaker, but none stand out quite as well as the Peely option.

There's no word on how much these sneakers will cost, but between them being Fortnite-themed and made by Adidas, it's probably safe to assume they won't be cheap. Based purely on the prices of other sneakers on the Adidas website, I would guess they are a little north of $100. But for now it's purely speculation.

Shoes are clearly a focus for the Fortnite team. Not only are there in-game Kicks and Adidas shoes coming, but last year Epic teamed up with Crocs. The Fortnite-themed Crocs and Jibbitz line is set to release in the second half of 2024. Among the designs are Crocs based on the Battle Bus, a pair for the Cuddle Team Leader, and one that looks very similar to the upcoming Adidas Peely sneakers.

Fortnite, which started out as a tower defense game, has become one of the biggest video games of all time. Battle Royale mode dominates pop culture, featuring concerts from megastar musicians and crossovers with just about every brand imaginable, from Marvel to the NFL.
