Sparking Zero allows you to teleport behind enemies through various moves, such as Instant Transmission or Vanishing Assault. Learn more here!
This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about setting up and mastering custom combat, from adjusting combat parameters to optimizing team strategy. We will be developing and presenting our own custom battles for you to use as examples.
How to get started
When you first enter Custom Battle Mode, you'll be presented with a lengthy tutorial, but it won't progress. As in-depth as necessary When creating elaborate scenarios. game We recommend starting with simple editing mode. But this is too limited. we will pass over Normal editing mode.
Sparking Zero's Simple Edit mode has a decent tutorial explaining the simplified mechanics, so I won't cover it here.
enter custom battle method, Select New and select General Edit. you are always given Pre-production battle between Goku and Frieza Namek will soon change all that as we review all of our options and set up the fight to our liking.
You probably already have an idea of what you want to do. For this example: We will create the following scenario:
- Fusion of Son Goku and Vegeta During the Tournament of Power.
-
they are completely destroy jiren Pretty easy fight. (But you can change the parameters to make it as difficult as you want.)
character
you can Choose who will join the battle from the roster of combat characters. While you can quickly select a character In this side menuyou feel better Click the character details button so that it appears at the bottom of the screen Each participant can be further customized.
Here you can customize everything your character can do. What clothes are those people wearing? to What technologies are available.
In this example we did the following:
player's team |
we put Son Goku and Vegeta from the Player Teamand Give Vegeta a lot of itemsFor strong fusion. |
---|---|
CPU Team |
you can Set difficulty and strategy On top of everything else. well Select Jiren and leave the default settings. Because Vegeta's buffs are enough to make the fight easier. |
Once you've selected your fighter, you can: Change lineup settings So the character Hidden from player's view.
For this we did the following:
-
By setting a question mark in Jiren, Players don't know who they are fighting.
-
Because you chose Vegeta's secret settings. He doesn't appear in the lineup. any.
you can also Guest character settings Who wants to play here? Appears only in scenes. You can also choose other fan-favorite fighters like Bulma, Dende, and Grand Minister, or field any fighter you like.
For a custom battle, I would place Gogeta here. So we can use him later. Because Fusion is not one of the characters in the lineup.
battle environment
In your combat preferences you can choose: Stage, music, general rules of battle. we'll choose Power Arena Tournament For fun, try setting music to the intro of your animation.
The important part is: Rule Settings TabYou can toggle the following items: Transform or switch teams.
we will turn fly for everyoneHowever, if you want to fix only one character, You must equip a special item Character customization in progress. Since this is a Power Arena tournament, we will set it up as follows. The same goes for the Out-of-Bounds rule.
we will turn CPU conversion offForced Jiren to remain in his base form during the battle. We will still transform himBut it will do so through effects. You can set all kinds of things here, but you can also force them later.
Effect settings
This is where the magic happens. All kinds of things happen during a fight.
Here's what you can trigger: custom sceneWe'll cover that later. What we have to do now Fusion of Son Goku and Vegeta At the start of battle. To do this, you first need to: Trigger condition settings. We will set the characters to be fused at the start of battle. Trigger with no conditions.
You can make things happen based on all kinds of specific effects. Remaining health, used attacks, etc.
Then let us choose What consequences happen to whom. Allowing players to freely switch characters Set the effect to occur in ‘Alliance’ So it doesn't matter who they choose. But for this we will choose. force fusionSon Goku, and Make him fuse into Gogeta.
Since Vegeta is part of the team, he can use fusion. If Vegeta is not on the team or part of a guest character, fusion is not an option.
Once the combat effect is set, now Saiyan duo will fuse As soon as the fight started. I set a similar effect, but this time Influence Jiren And some conditions were added: we will Transform him when his health is lowThen He will regain some health.
For this we do the following:
-
Create a new trigger.
-
Set it as follows HP remaining (same or lower).
- Choose Jiren To target.
-
We will add two effects: first, We will force his transformation. Second, We got him back in therapy. This can make battles more cinematic without having to add any additional scenes.
you can Copy or delete triggers/effects from submenu The button is at the bottom of the screen.
scene setting
In this setting you can: manage the scene For the beginning and end of the battle. you can also Add scene in the middle of battlebut you make it through Use the effect settings menu instead. Other than that The method of creating a scene is the same..
You can also leave all of this blank and start the battle like a normal match.
Let's create an opening. You must select a sceneIt consists of: one or more cuts This item must be created individually.
For this example we only need a short description to set the scene, so let's create one for now. however Conversation is where you struggle the most In custom battle mode
First things first. Choose between 2D or 3D cuts. 2D cuts are much simpler, but They are completely disconnected It is comprised of common images throughout Dragon Ball history, based on the selections made for the scenes.
Play story mode to unlock more 2D images!
we'll choose 2D stills from Tournament of Power Arena Then go to the menu Customize your scenarios further. All options except captions are self-explanatory. How to put dialogue into a sceneand all text is pre-made, so items are not organized in a recognizable way.
You can set filters So there is no need to listen to more than 5,000 lines of dialogue.
If there are recurring characters, You can easily waste time looking up names Repeat, and keep track of how you found it in the first place.
The thumbnail is This is the final and most important part of making the cut. Just take a picture From any moment on the scene Use it as a thumbnail for your battle. This doesn't apply to 2D stills, but it's something to keep in mind for more elaborate 3D moments.
Now that the introduction is over, Just add cuts to your scene And save it. we will now make Scene for regular victorythis time 3D elements For a more dynamic closing sequence. As you can see, the characters and stages that appear are What we picked.
Let's make a simple cut Where Jiren flies in painBut add another cut. Gogeta looks at the camera.
This is why Added Gogeta as a guest characterotherwise, We won't be able to make a scene with him Even if the player wins with Gogeta.
When creating a 3D scene, You can change your character's face and pose. As much as you want, everything inside Parameters for specific scenarios You made your choice. We won't cover all the options, but Almost all combat interactions You might think it's available here:
For the ending, We are creating a scene consisting of two cutsbut you can see it You can also select 2D scenes. This allows you to create a variety of scenes with slight variations without any extra work. Remake cuts that don't change.
If you are connected multiple times and engage in battle, You can add a preview of the next episode Text after creating a regular victory scene.
I'm not going to use a preview of the next episode here, so let's move on to some finishing touches.
How to Complete a Custom Battle
you are I need a title screen made of Thumbnail image and text. Text works much the same way as before. must go through a filterHowever, the thumbnail will depend on: The cuts you made; However, you don't have to use that cut as part of your preview image.
After selecting the thumbnail and title, You can set tags. they explain what is happening Make it easy for players to find in battle. we will go together Tournament of Easy and Power That is the best explanation of our creation.
The slide is Another great way to showcase combatHowever, since Gogeta and Jiren are kept as a surprise for the fight, Let's select only the 2D thumbnail of the slide.
When all work is completed, You must play and win the battle Before uploading.
This lets you know that your battle is ready to be uploaded. Little joystick icon with check mark It appears next to it.
you can Use the submenus to edit or delete battles..
Once you're satisfied, you're good to go. Post battle from submenuThat's it. You can find your battle World Library under My PageWhere can I see it? ID under username.
