Divinity: Original Sin 2 – How to change specs
Here's how players can respec their characters to try out different builds in Divinity: Original Sin 2.
Use the Resurrection Scroll
If you don't have the source points needed to cast Bless, or if you haven't removed the source collar yet, you can't use the first method. The easiest way to remove a curse from a character without a blessing is to kill the character and then use a Resurrection Scroll to resurrect him. Doing so will remove almost all active effects on the user, including curses.
Resurrection Scrolls can be purchased from most merchants. Although they tend to cost a decent amount of gold, you can easily get pickpocketed without issue. Money isn't an issue in the late game, and you can reliably refill your inventory whenever you need it without having to resort to underhanded tactics.
Alternatively, players can: Craft a Resurrection Scroll using the following recipe:
- One sheet of paper + water essence + life essence
In DOS2's story mode, all characters gain a free skill that allows them to revive allies outside of combat without using a resurrection scroll.
If one of your party members is a necromancer, you can use the following combinations: Living on the Edge (level 9 spell) and Last Rites (level 16 spell) The same effect is achieved by directly reviving a character outside of combat. However, since this method can be used later in the playthrough, the resurrection scroll method is a more suitable option.
Reload previous save
It may seem obvious, but if you reload your save file at a point before your character was cursed, you won't have to spend resources to cure it. If the curse is the result of a trap, you can also use a summoned creature to trigger that creature when you reload, so that it doesn't get cursed directly a second time.
