Defeating Dark Link will grant you a reward
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of WisdomLike all games in the beloved series, there are plenty of boss battles to conquer, but unlike Link, Zelda doesn't always have access to a sword to defeat giant monsters in her solo adventures.
When she first fights Dark Link in the Stilted Suthorn Forest, she only has a few echoes to defend herself with. However, with the right strategy, it’s not that hard to emerge victorious and gain some new powers as a reward for your efforts.
Dark Link Fight Overview
In the first major boss battle Zelda faces in Echoes of Wisdom, Dark Link is a bit of a pushover.. However, if you mix basic attacks with spin attacks and fail to dodge them, your limited hearts can disappear very quickly.
Do your best Jump up onto the rock collections on either side of the room and stay above Link.Unless he uses a jump attack, he won't be able to catch you. There are also jars surrounding the edge of the arena that will provide hearts if you need healing.
Using the 'R' button to rotate is also an effective way to put distance between Zelda and Dark Link.
If there is no summoned echo, he cannot make hostile attacks, so he will rush straight towards you.
How to defeat Dark Link
As soon as the fight started, If you run straight into the long grass on the left, Link will no longer see you.. Then head right behind him Summon Darknut. These will attack quickly after spawning and deal guaranteed damage if placed at the right angle. However, Link can wipe them out instantly, so don't be afraid to strafe around them and spam Echo Summons until you need to retreat.
Useful echoes in these situations include the Sea Urchin, which can create deadly obstacle courses for Link to pass through, and the Caromadillo, which is good for distracting Link and giving Zelda space to recover.
After taking a certain amount of damage, Link enters the second phase and takes on a dark purple hue.. In this form, he is more vulnerable to jump and spin attacks, while also having faster movement speed and higher damage output. The trick now is to defeat him without delay.
now, Hiding in the grass again and repeating the previous strategy will cause Link to finally bite the dust.If you're alone, he'll hunt you down, so always have an aggressive Echo around to draw out his hostility and deal damage.
It is best to avoid summoning right in front of the link. Because he will block most attacks with his shield before he can kill your echo.
