How to make fire ant armor
Each piece of armor must be crafted separately, and each piece of armor has slightly different requirements. After collecting and analyzing materials, go to the main workbench and items you can craft will appear. The list of crafting materials for each armor set item is as follows:
- fire ant helmet – 1 fire ant head, 2 fire ant parts, 2 lint ropes.
- Fire Ant Breastplate – 2x Fire Ant Parts, 1x Fire Ant Mandibles, 2x Lint Rope.
- Fire Ant Legplates – Fire ant parts x 2, dust mite hair x 1, lint rope x 2.
Each piece can be crafted individually, so if you only want to craft a helmet, for example, you don't need to gather all the crafting materials for every item. The areas players must go to to obtain crafting materials are particularly dangerous and may require a significant amount of travel and preparation.
Where to find materials for making fire ant armor
It goes without saying that in most cases players will need to find and defeat the Fire Ant. However, there are some specific things to keep in mind when looking for these ingredients. Fire ant workers drop fire ant parts or fire ant heads, while fire ant mandibles must be taken from stronger soldier ants.
The best place to find both variants is to head to the Fire Ant nest. Be warned, though, that this is one of the most difficult areas to survive in the game. In addition to these materials, dust mite fur can also be found by killing dust mites under sheds. Lint rope is also commonly found in warehouse doormats and insulation.
