How does cooking work in New World: Aeternum?

New World: Aeternum has made several changes to its cooking system. This mainly has to do with how recipes work, but the mechanics will be familiar to returning players. To start cooking, players can use: camp features. For players playing on PC: Press the Y button on your keyboard That will be enough. If you are using a controller, UP button on D-padand select the camp feature from there.

This gives you access to basic recipes such as food, pots, and bait, which vary from Tier 1 to 5 depending on your camp level. But to actually start cooking, players will need a cooking station. Found in a settlement.

Cooking stations start at level 1 and can be developed up to level 5. This is determined by how quickly your settlement grows and how much your ruling guild has invested in town projects. When players approach a cooking station, they can access the crafting menu by pressing E (PC), Triangle (PS5), or X (Xbox). A cooking menu will appear, where players can select the recipe they want to make.

When selecting a recipe, scrolling to the side sets the production quantity. The more they craft, the more cooking experience points players will receive, which means they can level up their trading skills and unlock new recipes.

Try making as many Tier 1 recipes as you can using basic ingredients (rations, etc.), then expand to Tier 2, 3, and so on from there. The more players craft, the faster you level up. But this requires a lot of ingredients.

New World: How to level up your cooking faster in Aeternum

To level up the Cooking Trade skill in New World: Aeternum, players must create hundreds of dishes and unlock new recipes. However, here are some useful tips and tricks that players can use to overcome the soft cap between Tier 1 and Tier 3 and advance their trading skills much faster.

  • Establish a decent farming route and gather plenty of materials before you start crafting. Several agricultural routes are suitable for Tier 1-3 materials. I'll cover that route in some videos below.
  • Don’t leave a single box unchecked. Loot boxes and chests often contain crafting materials. Cooking ingredients are one of them, but they especially drop from supply crates and spares.
  • If money is no object, players can also purchase materials from other players at the Trading Post.
  • Mastery Boost Potions help players level up faster by gathering more ingredients to craft better and more recipes.

Food crates are a good place to find certain ingredients such as salt, milk, rye, rice, etc. Farms are a great place to find produce like fruits and vegetables. Factories often produce flour and other ingredients for baking bread. Pirate Coves and Caves in general are also good places to find these items, as they provide a huge amount of materials and material chests.

Step 1: Establish a Profitable Farming Route

There are a lot of good farming paths in the game, but here's what players from level 1 to 17 need to do before they can start cooking like a professional chef.

  • Look for herbs and game near Monarch's Bluff and the Windsward coast.
  • Hunt turkeys, rabbits, and wild boars for meat, and get eggs from turkey nests.
  • Collect berries and wild vegetables from the bushes. (The berries can be red, orange, or purple, and wild vegetables, such as gourds, grow near the bottom.)
  • Visit caves and pirate coves to collect additional materials.
  • Visit farms to get agricultural products.
  • Nuts are harvested from fallen branches near the mountain slopes to make oil.

Step 2: Start cooking until you reach step 3.

Once you have enough ingredients, it's time to cook. Start by crafting nearly 50 Tier 1 recipes that will earn you enough experience to jump to Tier 2. From there, 100 Tier 2 recipes will put players on the right track to cooking more dishes and reaching Tier 3.

Cooking isn't all about cooking. Players can create their own.
composite material
Pasta using flour and eggs, spices using herbs, etc. It's also great for leveling up your cooking. To fully develop this trade technology, it is also necessary to make sausages and other meat derivatives, cheese and other milk derivatives.

Tier 3-5 recipes can be quite tricky, require intermediate ingredients and can be crafted starting at Cooking Trade skill level 20/50. That's why players must constantly farm ingredients, especially salt, sugar, and herbs, to make spices. Because once you reach Cooking Tier 3, the real fun begins.

By mid-tier 3 (Cooking 65), players will start to give up on the soft cap as they will need more and more ingredients. Now the player has two choices. This can be done by raiding enemy settlements for additional materials or developing the secondary trade skill Fishing. We will discuss this next.

New World Aeternum: How to Play with Friends

New World is more fun when you play it with friends. If you don't know what to do, this guide may help.

The best secondary trade skills to level up your cooking

Fishing, skinning, and harvesting are three trade skills that players must level up to get the most out of their cooking. Harvesting and skinning naturally ramp up as players collect the following materials: meat and forage Berry. However, developing your fishing skills requires some finesse. This mini-game sends players on a quest to become the best angler in Aeternum. But for that, the best place to start is the Windsward coast, near the right of Amrine Temple.

There are two fishing hotspots there, and players should practice their fishing skills for two important reasons.

  • Provides fish that can be harvested. meat and oilTwo important cooking ingredients.
  • There is a chance to obtain a treasure chest containing: foodMats, gems, gold coins.

Once the two hotspots are depleted, players will need to keep waiting as they can obtain many mats from nearby pirate gatherings. The northern hill has a lot of wild game to hunt (turkeys, rabbits, lynx, etc.), and the Temple of Amrine (near the northern hill) has a lot of wild game to hunt (turkeys, rabbits, lynx, etc.). Wild vegetables, herbs and berries Even at harvest.

Another good farming route is the Monarch's Bluff Shores – Hurtfang Hole zone (seen in one of the first videos), where players can find plenty of turkeys, boars, herbs, and berries to harvest. All animals must be skinned to obtain the meat needed for cooking.
