How to unlock the elevator in Alan Wake 2: The Lake House
When you first enter the Lake House, you will see a lighted room on the left. Unfortunately, the door is locked and it is the only way into the room. Go past the elevator in the center of the area and head to the Co-Director's office.
Along the walls of the office you can see a variety of documents that you can interact with and read. There is a note on the desk reminding you to lock your computer and change your password every day.
Here are a few things to remember when trying to figure out your password:
- Password can be up to 6 characters long.
- The first 4 digits are always the same and the last 2 digits change.
- The two-digit number that changes cannot be the current date.
It may sound complicated, but all the clues you need to solve this puzzle are in the office. On the desk is a calendar page for September 14th and “38“It is written in bold letters. There is a framed note on the other side of the office. The note lists July 18th as the start date. Now you have all the information you need to solve this puzzle.
Access your computer and enter the following as your password: 071838. This will unlock your computer and give you access to security programs and some emails. Use a security program to unlock doors that were previously impossible to open. Enter the newly unlocked room to find the Security Clearance 01 keycard. This card has enough space to unlock the elevator and head to the next floor of the Lake House.
