Jujutsu Kaisen: Gojo's Ending, Explained

As JJK recently ended, many fans are dissatisfied with the ending of Gojo's story.

yet, J.J.K.'s The ending doesn't change the fact that this is the story fans have enjoyed the best of the past six years or so. Some Chapters keep them in their seats while others simply blow them away. All about intense action J.J.K. It finally came to an end with episode 271, and the story of these great wizards has finally come to an end.

A new curse user was finally revealed

  • Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara battled a new curse user
  • Yuji inherits Gojo’s dream.

Do a jujutsu Episode 270 introduced fans to a new cursed user. This was another interesting addition by the author, but it was also calculated. At first, fans were completely confused as to why the author would introduce a new enemy one chapter before the end of the story. But later, the reason finally became clear to fans. in J.J.K. In Chapter 271, this cursed person is revealed to be a rather timid person who seems to be angry because a woman does not reciprocate his love. Because of that, he used his newfound abilities to cause trouble in her life.

I'm expecting great things from you once you join us! – Yuji Itadori

This bitter man was taken for granted because of his actions. It was very strange for fans to see this individual defeated so easily. However, fans got to see a flashback where Gojo left everything to Yuji Itadori and showed him how to properly raise the next generation. Now, Yuji used this moment to deliver a similar message to this individual, letting him know that he expects great things from him in the future after he fixes his lifestyle. This was a very interesting touch from the author and goes to show that Yuji is now much more mature than he was at the beginning of the series, and that even though the world is a much safer place now, Yuji needs help. A powerful horde surrounds him to fight the monsters that stand in his way.

Gojo is dead, but his dream lives on

Of course, you can never say that. J.J.K.'s It ends without considering Gojo Satoru's character. Gojo is the face of the next J.J.K.And despite not being the main character, he's quite easily the most popular character. Gojo died in the battle with Sukuna in JJK Chapter 236. This was a truly epic battle, fought with all his might. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough, as Sukuna not only had his own cursed skills, but also Megumi's powers. These two cursed skills were essentially combined, giving him an edge over the most powerful modern wizards and essentially killing him.

Gojo is officially confirmed dead, but it's incredibly strange that the author doesn't acknowledge his death further in the story. In fact, all of JJK's characters have had their lives influenced by Gojo in some way, and it's no exaggeration to say that he's at the center of everything. It was definitely a mistake on the part of the author to not even properly mention Gojo in the last few chapters.

One of you must forget me and gain strength other than mine. – Gozo

For what it's worth, fans got to see Gojo Satoru once again in the final chapter of JJK. A flashback scene with Yuji, where the two were training together. Gojo felt he had nothing to fear because he knew that the generation that would come after him would be capable and would reach similar levels or even surpass him. Yuji found this behavior of Gojo strange, but for Gojo, this was complete confidence.

Gojo knew that even if he lost the battle against Sukuna, the future of the world was safe. He then tells Yuji that he expects great things from him in the future, essentially making Gojo's dream become Yuji's dream.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Akutami finally confirms Uraume's gender.

Gege finally addressed the question many fans had about Uraume's gender in JJK.

Gojo wanted the Jujutsu order to change, and fans have seen it happen in real time, especially over the last few chapters, with the top essentially all eradicated and at the same time those trying to monopolize the Jujutsu hierarchy. The same goes for simple domains. Now Gozo's dream is virtually a reality, but at the same time, fans may come to the conclusion that it certainly wasn't the best ending for him.

The legend of Ryomen Sukuna finally dies.

Sukuna finally learns the meaning of love

Of course, we also need to discuss Ryomen Sukuna's personality. Sukuna was handled well in the Shinjuku Showdown arc. He fought against countless wizards and protected his wizards incredibly well. It is no exaggeration to say that Sukuna was certainly a force to be reckoned with in this battle, and that the performance he showed was certainly worthy of the title he held. In the end, Sukuna was defeated by Yuji, and essentially all that was left was a single finger that seemed to lack the cursed energy to manifest him. Essentially, this finger was now harmless and simply served as a talisman.

Sukuna is also seen in the afterlife, where he reflects on his life and finally admits that he was the way he was because he was an unloved person. In the end, Sukuna concluded that if he were given another chance, he would probably choose a different path, this time a path filled with love.

Sukuna's Struggle Jujutsu Line JJK 269

Meanwhile, other characters J.J.K.Megumi, Nobara and others continued to work with Yuji Itadori. This is the face of the Shamango now, as they continue to fight against damned souls while also bringing peace to the world. Other characters, including Yuta, Maki, Toge, and Hakari, continued their daily lives as if nothing had happened, which effectively became the ending of JJK.

Sukuna's Fingers served as the final panel of the series, which was symbolic in nature. Obviously JJK's ending wasn't as good as fans wanted, but it wasn't the worst either. As of now, no sequels or spinoffs have been announced for JJK, but that could likely change in the future depending on what the writers want to do with their next projects.

JJK 271, the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, was finally released on September 29, 2024. Fans can read the series on the MANGA Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
