Yutaka Ito, technical manager at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, has expressed interest in developing a new Dragon engine for future games in the Like a Dragon franchise. Over the past eight years, ten games in the Like a Dragon series have been developed using the engine created for Yakuza 6.
