The PS5 is doing great and the Switch 2 is off to a tremendous start. It's a great console generation to get excited about gaming, but despite all the modern advancements, there are still people who miss the glory days of the PS2. From platformers to shooters and RPGs, there was something for everyone.
Many of the bigger titles still retain their original hardware today and look and play much better with remasters. For some franchises, the PS2 has reached its peak. These games may have had sequels after this generation, but they weren't all that popular. Some games aren't even considered the best games of all time, but generally speaking, we all know that a good idea is genius when no one can deny it.

Def Jam: Fight for New York The second game in the series improves on everything that made the original great. This idea was novel in the early 2000s. It pitted rap stars against each other in a wrestling ring to hip-hop beats. This sequel contains more fighters, better mechanics, and most of all, more music. There was another sequel, but it didn't work out, and now all fans want is a decent port of this classic, or another company to attempt some kind of hip wrestling reboot.

There are random dungeons, village building mechanics, time travel, invention quests, monster transformations, weapon evolutions, and more. Anyone interested can enjoy a cleaned-up version on PS4 and PS5.
