- Someone is “trying to buy” a PS5 Pro commemorative bundle on eBay for $10,000
- There is no guarantee that you will receive the bundle prize, we are simply giving $10,000 to the person who tries their best to get it.
- The item was later removed from eBay, either by force or after it gained too much attention.
PlayStation upset a lot of people a few weeks ago when they revealed that the PS5 Pro would cost $700. Then they seemed to win everyone back by revealing that the 12,300 Pros would be painted gray as an homage to the PS1. Pricing for the items in PlayStation’s 30th Anniversary Collection has yet to be confirmed, but thanks to a reliable leaker, the prices have been revealed, and someone is already selling an anniversary PS5 Pro bundle on eBay for $10,000. Well, sort of.
If you're looking for a way to guarantee yourself one of the 12,300 PS5 Pro bundles that will celebrate PlayStation's 30th anniversary, this particular eBay listing isn't the best place to go, and not just because it's been removed. Spotted by MP1st, the listing wasn't a speculator guaranteeing anyone who shelled out $10,000 would get the bundle, but it was a steal for just under a five-figure sum. Try to “buy” the bundle for you Pre-orders for this album and the rest of the collection will begin September 26th.
In defense of the brave yellow salesman, the listing was incredibly honest. The description clearly stated that potential customers were actually paying to stand in line and that the bundle's availability was limited. There's no guarantee they'll get one.. What I am unclear about is whether the customer would have been refunded if the seller returned empty-handed after selling all 12,300 bundles.
If you have $10,000, someone will be willing to buy the bundle for you.
There's no guarantee that you'll actually get one though.
Despite the backlash following the PS5 Pro price reveal, it seems very likely that the console will sell out quickly, especially the Anniversary Edition due to its limited availability. It won’t cost $10,000, but you can bet that it will be available as a bundle on resale sites shortly after pre-orders open. PlayStation will likely charge a lot for this bundle, but it will be nothing compared to what people are willing to pay retailers once it’s sold as a bundle.
The revelation that the PS5 Pro would be digital led to a surge in interest in PlayStation’s removable disc drives, but despite the hype, disc drives are still widely available. That hasn’t stopped black marketers from taking advantage, though. While disc drives are still in stock at GameStop and PlayStation Direct, they’re already selling for over $100 each on eBay. Don’t rely on black marketers, especially if the item you desperately want is still in stock at its regular price.
