Ravenswatch The world and playable characters are themed around folk heroes and old legends, giving the game a unique visual flair. With the recent 1.0 release ending its Early Access run, there's never been a better time to delve into this challenging roguelike action.
Updated on October 1, 2024 by Harry Ted Sprinks. Developed by Passtech Games (the team behind the unique action roguelike Curse Of The Dead Gods), Ravenswatch recently left Early Access and is heading to version 1.0 with a major update that adds new characters to the game. This, along with additional character and balance changes to the game, dramatically changed the game's balance. There are now nine playable characters available, and each run takes over an hour to complete, so it's helpful to know what each character's abilities are.
9 speckled piper
Long range character with low damage
speckled piper One of the weakest characters. RavenswatchBut he's arguably more helpful in multiplayer where you have a team that can take out enemies. Pied Piper's damage output is relatively low compared to other characters. But he also has a long-range attack.
Because of this, Pied Piper is one of the safest characters to play. RavenswatchBecause he doesn't need to get close to the enemy. Pied Piper is a great choice for beginners, but despite having quite a bit of utility in her toolkit, she's still one of the weaker characters.
8 Zepeto
A quirky character with a slow start
Zepeto He's an interesting character with a unique playstyle, as his damage relies on the various auto-attack dummies he can create with his perks. However, as a result, Gepetto's attack power is somewhat hindered in the early game.
This makes Geppetto a difficult character to get off the ground, although he scales relatively well in the late game and can generally provide a lot of support to his teammates. Geppetto's doll is especially useful as it can block projectiles and direct attacks. Geppetto can easily revive teammates in online co-op while the puppet distracts enemies.
7 beowulf
A tanky character who can hold his own.
beowulf A strong and solid character who can demonstrate his power in many battles. His Wyrm-enhanced abilities are excellent for taking out large groups, and his shield helps protect him from projectiles and enemy attacks. Additionally, Beowulf's spinning attack allows him to launch attacks on enemies and retreat from battle.
Unfortunately, Beowulf's short-range attacks and difficult-to-maneuver spin attacks put him at great risk. Nonetheless, it could be argued that Beowulf has access to some of the more powerful talents in the game, making him a relatively strong character.
6 Melusine
Powerful character with a strange play style
Melusine This takes some getting used to, as you can't attack and move at the same time. However, once players get used to switching stances, Melusine can be very powerful. Fortunately, Melusine can move around the battlefield fairly easily, allowing her to weave between enemies and protect herself from danger.
Melusine is much more powerful when played in online co-op. This makes it easier to attack enemies from afar while her team has their attention. Melusine doesn't have as many AOE capabilities as other characters, but her Water Bomb ultimate can inflict massive damage over a large area.
5 Son Goku
High risk, high reward character
Goku This is one of the new additions to . RavenswatchIt features a risk-reward play style that may not be suitable for everyone. Wukong's traits allow him to use two unique stances. One is a stance that allows you to deal and receive more damage, and the other is a stance that allows you to recover health.
As a result, Wukong can be particularly difficult for beginners to handle, as he must assume a sheep stance to deal damage, but this also leaves him vulnerable to one-shotting, or at least taking massive damage. However, while in this vulnerable state, Wukong's potential damage is enormous. Learning the balance between the two stances is essential to success with Wukong, but learning the defensive ability, a powerful defensive ability, is even more important. However, once players master this hero, he can become incredibly powerful.
4 Camilla
Mobile hero with a dangerous toolkit
This latest addition is Ravenswatch is a stylish and ridiculously mobile hero with a playstyle that combines risk and reward. There's a lot to learn about Carmilla, especially at first glance, but her diverse abilities and talents allow for expressive gameplay. Carmilla centers around the Blood mechanic, a thematic system based on your nature as a vampire.
Carmilla uses Blood to make the most of her abilities, some of which cost precious resources when used in certain ways. Blood can be obtained in a few ways, but if the player runs out, health points can be consumed instead. However, it's not ideal since HP isn't easy to get through her toolkit. Each of Carmilla's abilities is very diverse, giving her significant mobility, damage, and AOE, making her a fluid character that scales nicely with her talents. However, Carmilla's abilities can take some getting used to, and her powers allow her to stand still, contradicting her other mobile ability sets.
3 Aladdin
powerful support hero
Aladdin's His decent damage output is complemented by his versatile ultimate and ability to buff his teammates. This makes Aladdin much more powerful in multiplayer, as it gives players a head start with wishes that provide consumables to everyone in the party.
Aladdin's one drawback is his quirky special ability, which allows him to throw blades at enemies and consequently be unable to attack them. However, while this enchants his blade and allows him to deal more damage, it could be argued that Aladdin remains weak until he gets the right talent. Despite these shortcomings, Aladdin's support utility makes him one of the strongest heroes in large teams.
2 scarlet
Strong damage dealer with poor control.
scarlet Her only drawback is the player's lack of control over her form. During the day, Scarlett is a glass cannon with incredible mobility and defensive options that make her intangible, but at night she becomes a tank-like wolf with self-healing abilities.

Best short games under 5 hours
Some of the best titles offer over 100 hours of content, while others can be completed in an afternoon. Introducing the best short game of all time.
However, while Scarlet's combo point system allows you to deal massive damage, it requires some skill to pull off. If played correctly, Scarlet can inflict more damage than many other characters in the game. RavenswatchEspecially if you have the right talent.
1 snow queen
Powerful combination of AOE and single target damage
snow queen She's one of the strongest characters in the game right now, as she's excellent against both single targets and large groups of enemies. Many of her abilities are used to chill enemies, while others are used to deal extra damage to chilled enemies.
The Snow Queen is an agile character with a strong close-range AOE that can keep enemies at a distance, and considerable agility gained through defensive abilities (the ability to skate around the map). Chances of survival and damage are extremely high. With her ultimate abilities combined (one that focuses on a single target and one that focuses on large AOEs), the Snow Queen is arguably the most powerful character currently available in the game.
