RIYADH: The history and future of the petrochemical industry will be discussed at a festival of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics to be held in Riyadh from September 2 to 30, 2024, Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.
The STEAM event, titled “Chemistry is Fun: The Multidisciplinary World of Petrochemicals,” was hosted by the Salman King Science Oasis.
This session explores past oil discoveries, recent innovations focused on sustainability and new technologies, and current environmental challenges that are part of Vision 2030.
Held under the patronage of Riyadh Governor Faisal bin Bandar, the festival is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors, including students, teachers and families.
The event includes scientific workshops, interactive sessions, and interactive exhibits.
King Salman Science Oasis is a non-profit organization established through a strategic partnership between the Riyadh Science Charity Foundation and the King Abdulaziz Science and Technology City.
The program aims to foster national values, a sense of belonging and global citizenship, and develop a culture of lifelong learning, innovation and entrepreneurship.
