Astro Bot DLC Release Schedule

Astro Bot fans will have access to five free DLC stages over the coming months, with new stages released weekly from October 17th to November 14th.

Beating the blue bird's time is relatively simple, but getting to the end of the stage before the red bird can be a bit tricky. Thankfully, this Spring-Loaded Run walkthrough includes information about an optimized route and two Cameo Bots. Astrobot Players can unlock it.

How to Complete a Spring Loaded Run

The key to getting through the Spring-Loaded Run stages quickly is to avoid unnecessary jumps and hovers. Thankfully, the Frog Gloves' power-up can extend surprisingly far, so players should aim to catch the red beam on the ground rather than in the air. There are also a few places where players can simply move around the barrels instead of actually destroying them, which can help shave a second or two.

The first place where players can save quite a bit of time is where there are four wooden barrels stacked on top of each other. Instead of destroying them all, you should jump and punch the center of the stack on the right. This will destroy both barrels and cause a blue bounce pad to drop. If you time it just right, you can hit a bounce pad in the air and throw a spin punch to move to the next bounce pad without having to jump again.

Other than that, the best places to save time are the two sections where players use the red beam to ascend. Pulling back on the analog stick when you reach the far side will allow you to use Astro's momentum to quickly change direction and catch the next red beam a little faster than usual. Assuming they can master this move, players should have no trouble unlocking the stage's two VIP bots.

Spring Loaded Running Cameo Bot

Beating Bluebird Time (55 seconds) unlocks the Paladin Cameo Bot based on: Ky Kiske Guilty Gear franchise. If the player beats the red bird's time (70 seconds), they can unlock other birds.
