GSC Game World has stuck to its word, promising to fix the problems Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl had at launch. Although the game was released in pretty poor condition, it still received a good response from fans of the series. Yesterday, in the biggest update since launch, the developers finally addressed the A-Life system that fans have been missing so much.

Did anyone really expect Stalker 2 to not break?
Stalker 2 was always going to run like this.
It was a major update that overhauled the entire NPC AI system, so it was naturally big. This was just the first fix. However, the developers had already released another patch before most players could experience the improvements implemented in patch 1.1.

Many people were surprised at the speed with which GSC Game World put out patch 1.1.1. Especially considering the amount of work the developers put in and the risk of burnout they cited.
However, as GSC Game World owner Maksym Krippa points out, the developers' dedication has paid off, with the game already generating revenue, with more than 1 million copies sold on launch day. In fact, there is talk of Stalker being adapted for TV.
