Team introduction

Subnautica 2 is being made by Unknown Worlds, a fully remote studio with roots in the 2002 Half-Life mod Natural Selection. This is the same studio that created the original Subnautica. Teams are scattered all over the world, from the United States to the United Kingdom, France, Iceland, Austria, Australia, Canada, and India.

Early Access Development

Subnautica 2 will be an Early Access game. This means that development will be active at launch. Bugs, functionality and performance issues may arise during development.
