The Dragon Age actor says the Inquisitor won't be returning in another game.

It's hard to predict where the Dragon Age series will go next. Dragon Age: The Veilguard was released last year, but EA disappointed with sales, prompting layoffs at BioWare.

But that doesn't mean people who poured years into the series will move on. In fact, one of the most passionate fans is Inquisitor Alix Wilton Regan. In a recent interview, Regan said that he would like to play the Inquisitors again and see them team up with protagonists from other games.

Alix Wilton Regan said the Inquisitor's story is probably over, but it doesn't have to be.

This comes from Regan's conversation with GamesRadar+, where he talks about what's next for the Dragon Age series.

“What struck me the most is that we know very well that the Inquisitor is probably not coming back, which is really sad,” Regan says. “But what an ending and journey of the Inquisitor.”

She goes on to discuss ways to bring the Inquisitor back, along with other familiar faces. “There’s definitely a world that features all the main characters: the Inquisitor, Luke, Hawk, etc.,” she says. “Maybe there will be something so wild and wacky that everyone will have to break away from the Fade and work together, Avengers Assemble style.”

Alix Wilton Regan is one of the four voices of the Inquisitor. Other voices to choose from are provided by Sumalee Montano, Jon Curry, and Harry Hadden-Paton.

It may sound harsh, but it's going to take a Fade trick to get those four in the same room again. The Warden can die, Hawke and Rook can get lost in the Fade, and the Inquisitor can drop everything and enter the Fade if he's romanced Solas. Needless to say, there's a lot to explain, so why not just suck them all into the spirit world? The poor warden is getting better, but I think he still has one more fight left. And if they die in Dragon Age: Origins, maybe the force that spit them out might pop back up for a laugh.

Anyway, we'll have to wait and see what comes next in the Dragon Age series. Before the layoff, there were suggestions Warden could return, which could be on the table no matter what games we play.
