Do you like all things scary and spooky? If so, you might want to take a look ahead at the horror games coming out in 2025. 2024 has been a good year for horror, with games like Silent Hill 2 Remake and Still Wakes the Deep gaining attention. But won’t 2025 be scarier?

A ancestor of fear and a revolutionary of rebellion, this game paved the way for terror.

Little Nightmares 3 has been delayed until 2025, so hopefully we'll see it next year, but there are plenty of other horror titles to look forward to. Here are the horror games the folks at TG are most excited to play in 2025.

I'm not good at horror games. I played a bit of Silent Hill 2, panicked when more than one enemy came at me, then handed the controller over to my girlfriend and watched her play the rest of the game instead. Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares 2 were just the right number of scary numbers for me, so I'm looking forward to Tarsier Studios' next project, Reanimal.

Reanimal is a co-op game (it's a good thing it's released this time, as it would have been a perfect addition to Little Nightmares 2) and, like the studio's previous games, is set in a spooky world. Creatures come out to see you huge Compared to the little kids you play, I want to be irrationally scared while playing this game.

I grew up playing hand-drawn Sierra adventures like Torin's Passage and King's Quest 7. It's not exactly Hello Sweet Carole, but its aesthetic is enough to take me back to a lost era of gaming.

Goodbye Sweet Carol will either be a masterpiece or an exceptionally well-presented work, and I'm rooting for it to be the former. The entertainment industry as a whole needs more projects to prove that good things happen when you take the time to do it right.

I'm a bit of a scared person, so horror games generally aren't my thing. What I hate is ‘being scared.’ But Critical Reflex had the best 2024 of any publisher and almost converted me into a genre I previously hated.

Buckshot roulette, arctic egg, mouthwash, threshold. In just eight months, we've released four great horror games. Arctic Eggs is my personal favorite (and probably the least scary and mostly unnerving). B.E. I don't know what Critical Reflex has in store next, but I'll be there on day one.

Alien: Quarantine 2

I love horror games. I love being scared, screaming randomly in my apartment when something runs at me in a game, and feeling the sweat of my palms literally covering my controller. In my opinion, it's the perfect horror gaming experience. And if we're talking about horror games that stress me out more than anything else, Alien: Isolation is a prime example. So yes, but very While I'm optimistic that a sequel will come out next year, I'll still call Alien: Isolation 2 my most anticipated horror game of the year until its final release.

The Xenomorph in the original was a force to be reckoned with. It was a masterpiece of enemy AI design that tracked your every step, ratcheted up the tension at the most perfect moments, and truly captured the dangerous fear you'd feel when stalked by this ultimate movie monster. Technology has gotten so much better that we're trying to get our hands on what's more drooling than the murderous Xenomorph. everyone's The most anticipated horror game.

This dark take on the Golden Age Disney aesthetic was one of my most anticipated games of 2024, but time has moved on and the title is now scheduled for a 2025 release. A mysterious disappearance encountered by a red-eyed shape-shifting demon.

Twisted fairy tale tropes are classics because they have endless potential. The art style may have initially drawn me to Bye Sweet Carole, but it's the gameplay that's kept me interested ever since. If this falls next year, none of us will live happily ever after.
