The most difficult achievements and trophies to obtain in Slitterhead

Slitterhead, the game from Silent Hill and Gravity Rush creator Keiichiro Toyama, is finally out, and it's having a pretty smooth platinum journey. If you didn't know beforehand, there's one really nasty achievement that requires a new playthrough, and most of the collectibles weren't discovered until a few days after launch, but they're all found now.

Slitterhead: All Rare Zones

Slitterhead has eight unique rarities. Here's how to unlock them all:

Cosmetics in particular can be a bit tricky in terms of unlocking requirements, so I haven't found one in days. You can get Platinum in this game in one playthrough, but playing it twice is easier but takes longer. Choose the path you feel more comfortable with.

The easiest but richest collection

We have collected all of Hyoki's memory fragments.

The first type of collectible discovered in its entirety is memory fragments. Three are usually on every single level, but you have to be in the second or third loop to access them. Most levels have multiple loops, so don't search for collectibles during your first run.

Most of them can be found by looking around, but there are a few sneaky ones, like inside the well in Ghost Family RE RE 3rd Loop or a secret area you can access with your dog in Over Limit. After using the guide, earning all the memory fragments, and beating the game, you should be able to max out all rarities for Full Spec, another achievement.

5 sanctuary robber

It's hard on its own, but it's even harder in a nightmare.

Completed all Sanctuary trials.

There are a few reasons why you might want to play this game not once, but twice, and the Shrine Robber achievement is one of the biggest. Throughout the levels, you'll come across golden sanctuaries that offer challenges to overcome (usually boss fights) along with outfits as rewards.

Slitterhead: Mantis Trap Walkthrough

Here's how to defeat Michelle in Slitterhead's Mantis Trap mission!

This fight is already challenging enough on Normal, but trying to complete it all on Nightmare will be tough. It's easier if you try it in the end game when you're higher level. You'll also need to find all of these shrines, and they're trickier to find than the memory fragments, so it's best to use a guide.

4 fashionista

The most difficult collectibles to unlock

value

explanation

10G/Bronze

Collected all rare outfits.

There are two separate achievements for collecting all the costumes and masks. Costumes are slightly more difficult and most are obtained through shrine challenges, but they are essentially the same. These collectibles are what took players the longest to figure out, but there is a consistent way to get them.

In many levels, there is a second or third item that cannot be obtained through the Shrine Challenge. If you beat the game and miss it, you'll have to replay the level and use Blake as your companion, cutting off human parts from the boss Slitterhead. Then you will receive cosmetics every time.

Blood Time has been activated 50 times.

By the end of my first playthrough, maybe by the end of my second, I probably wouldn't have even gotten into Blood Time 50 times. Blood Time is a slow-motion gameplay mechanic that you gain after blocking enough attacks, and while it's useful in the first half of the game, better tools are available in the latter half.

Slitterhead: Sleepless Zone RE (Second Loop) Walkthrough

Here's how to track down Michelle and complete the Sleepless Zone RE (2nd Loop) mission in Slitterhead!

Fortunately, there is an amazing place to solve this. In Sleepless Zone RE 2nd Loop, there is a shrine challenge on the left, about halfway through the level. This results in some unpleasant boss fights in extremely tight spaces, making them the perfect place to deal with Reflections and Blood Time. It may still take some time, but this is by far the best place to achieve this.

2 Timeline Convergence

true ending

Stopped Alex's (Leopard Head) killing spree in the Alpha world.

Slitterhead has a very strange way of handling endings. After defeating the final boss, you'll get the normal ending and be prompted to set civilian casualties to 60. This requires you to replay the level without people dying this time. Otherwise there will be at least a few casualties. If you still have some collectibles to secure, now is the time to do so. Because you can kill two birds with one stone and get all the collectibles while reducing the number of casualties.

If you already have all the collectibles, it might be best to replay the Big Boss level. Because now that we're all leveled up, we can minimize any major civilian casualties there. This process is much more difficult in Nightmare mode, where enemies take more damage, and the hardest objectives require you to achieve the true ending.

1 Apex Hyoki Legend

One big barrier on the list of achievements.

Cleared at difficulty level of Nightmare or higher.

Unfortunately, you have to beat all of Slitterhead in Nightmare mode. This means starting from a new game. Unlike titles like Wanted: Dead, which can be completed in a single day, Slitterhead has a much longer campaign, making multiple playthroughs more of a hassle for achievement/trophy hunters.

At this point, you need to know the locations of all your memory pieces so you can level up as quickly as possible. Additionally, Betty is the highest rarity in the game, so get her as soon as possible. Both will make your nightmare much easier. But you'll still need to play the title's action-RPG hybrid gameplay well, and making the most of your character doesn't mean you'll get a free pass.
