The Sinnoh region has many myths, legends, and oddities. So much so that there are entire games dedicated to exploring areas prior to the modern era. The Pokémon TCG has also revealed some of these mysteries, with cards depicting the most powerful legendary duos and cards that replace former Pokémon archetypes.

The Triumphant set in the Pokemon TCG contains many valuable cards, many of which are used together in sets or contain unique text. If you're a collector who loves finding cards that make you feel like an archaeologist, the Triumphant set is the perfect place to start your search.

Celebi Prime US$15.51

Take a time travel

Prime Cards temporarily replaced former Pokémon during the Heart Gold and Soul Silver eras of the TCG. Celebi Prime features an art box with patterned background art and a border that makes it look like Pokemon are popping out.

This card is great for energy acceleration and putting your opponent in a time lock. Time Circle deals 30 damage and prevents Celebi from taking damage from evolved Pokémon during the opponent's turn. This makes the game faster for you and slower for your opponent.

Machamp Prime $19.75

A punch that hits you senseless.

Machamp has always been the king of fighters with four arms ready to beat you and a championship belt around his waist. With sparkling eyes and a background made of gold, this machamp has moves powerful enough to win the title.

Crushing Punch knocks out all the special energy the opposing Pokemon has, while Champ Buster can deal up to 150 damage if both benched Pokemon have damage counters. Machamp can draw energy from its bench, so it fights to protect its fellow Pokémon.

Absol Prime $23.81

Misfortune follows everywhere.

Absol may be the harbinger of bad luck in the Pokémon world, but that doesn't mean it can't be weaponized. Absol Prime's Eye of Disaster weakens basic Pokemon that your opponent benches directly from their hand.

Meanwhile, in Vicious Claw you have to give up something to get something back. In this case, in order to inflict 70 damage to the opponent's Pokemon, you must send the Pokemon in your hand to the Lost Zone. With its moody card art and interesting moves, it's no wonder this is worth a look.

Palkia and Dialga Legend Bottom $38.70

The Pokemon TCG era also introduced new ways to collect cards. Some prints require you to collect two cards that make up the whole, rather than drawing one valuable card and using it all in one day.

This card features the lower bodies of Palkia and Dialga Legend. What's unique about this is that it has two types, two weaknesses, and two moves modeled after the Pokémon they depict. Abrupt Delete lets you return benched Pokémon back to your hand, while Time Control lets you add more cards to your opponent's prize card pool.

If you're looking for the top half of the Palkia and Dialga Legend cards, you'll usually find them to be the more expensive of the two. The bottom half handles all the card text, so the top half is mostly card art.

It features Palkia and Dialga locked in battle as pink and blue electricity surges through their bodies. If you want to save these cards, you'll need to keep them together in a binder full of rarities.

Darkrai and Cresselia Legend Bottom $47.31

When sweet dreams and nightmares collide

Darkrai and Cresselia have always been Pokémon rivals by nature. Cresselia drives out darkness, and Darkrai causes people to have bad dreams. Cresselia's Move, Moon's Invite, allows you to move all of your Pokémon's damage counters to your opponent's Pokémon in any way you like.

Meanwhile, Lost Crisis deals 100 damage and sends downed Pokémon to the Lost Zone instead of the discard pile. This is a great way to block your opponents from energy, items, or pre-evolution.

Mew has always been deeply entrenched in Pokémon lore. It is said that all Pokémon get their DNA from this Mew, and this precious Mew allows them to copy other moves. Equipped with Mew's ability to zoom in, Mew Prime can use the moves of Pokémon trapped in the Lost Zone.

You can set this up by using another card that sends the Pokemon to the Lost Zone or Mew's default move. See Off allows you to search for Pokémon to add to your deck. It doesn't matter whether the Pokémon is a basic Pokémon or a Tier 2 Pokémon.

Darkrai and Cresselia Legendary Top $61.95

The Darkrai and Cresselia Legend's torso features art of Darkrai looming menacingly over Cresselia. Like many other Legend cards, the top half is mostly art and the bottom half is mostly text needed to use Moves.

Since both cards are part of a set, their value tends to go up as most players want them in good condition to show off together. With the powers of Darkness and Psychic, they're an interesting pair that doesn't usually mix up battles in the Pokémon TCG.

The Unown alphabet is one of the most interesting details in Pokémon games. These letters are made up of different Unowns put together to form words of power. In this case, the card design includes the complete alphabet in the art box.

This will help you decipher the text at the bottom which says you can view all face down prize cards via the Alph Lithograph. This is one of the strangest looking cards in the Pokemon TCG due to its design, but that also increases its value.

Heart Gold and Soul Silver: The most valuable card in the Triumphant set is Gengar Prime. This card features Gengar with his tongue sticking out and ready for mischief. Poke Body ensures that your opponent's Pokemon is sent to the Lost Zone when it is defeated.

Hurl Into Darkness is an overwhelming skill. With just one energy, you can look at your opponent's hand and send the Pokemon you find there directly to the Lost Zone. This move becomes stronger with each psychic energy Gengar possesses. This alone makes Jenga valuable and powerful.
