Key Takeaways
-
Good Smile has released its first Metaphor, ReFantazio Nendoroid.
-
This figure is modeled after the game's protagonist and transformed into a typical chibi-style Nendoroid.
-
Pre-orders for the figure are currently live, but will not ship until Q4 2025.
Last month, Metaphor: ReFantazio arrived and likely shook up many Game of the Year lists. We should have expected nothing less from the Persona team. Whether you're still adventuring through Euchornia or you've already used Metaphor and can't stop thinking about it, Good Smile is here to tempt you with the game's first Nendoroid based on the nameless protagonist.
Well, technically the hero has a name. That's what you decide to call them. Naming Nendoroids is a bit awkward because the names are different depending on who is playing. That's why Good Smile nicknamed them 'main characters.' The name isn't that important here. It's a design that Metaphor fans will be interested in and whether Good Smile has been able to successfully apply a signature look to the character.

Hades 2 already has its own Nendoroid, despite still being in early access.
You bet on what will happen first. Hades 2 ends early access or ships these Melinoe Nedoroids.
I'm a fan of most of what Good Smile does with Nendoroids, but that's totally it. Similar to Funko Pops, Nendoroids have a signature design that is shared across the entire collection. No offense intended to Funko Pops, however, but Good Smile's figures tend to be much more detailed.
A highly detailed Nendoroid that will almost certainly become a hit soon.
Although all characters that receive the Nendoroid treatment are transformed in a chibi style, there is still a lot of room to ensure that the characters are identical to the characters they are modeled after. Metaphor's protagonist looks a lot more adorable than he does in the game, but much of his original design remains on the figure.

Metaphor: Re-fantagio protagonist Nendoroid
Just a month after the highly successful release of Metaphor: ReFantazio, the game's first Nendoroid was released. The unnamed protagonist received a chibi makeover for the figure, and even the protagonist's heterochromia was expressed in great detail.
The Nendoroid has the same dark blue hair and white jacket as the main character in the game, and the character's heterochromia is reflected in the design, with different eye colors. The Nendoroid's eyes are much larger than their in-game counterparts, so the brown and blue colors stand out much more. You may notice this for the first time if you haven't paid enough attention while playing or haven't advanced much yet.
The downside to pre-ordering Nendoroids is the time you have to wait for delivery. Metaphor's debut figure won't be released until the fourth quarter of 2025. On the plus side, this figure is considerably cheaper than most other Nendoroids at $25.99. That may be because it doesn't seem to have as many interchangeable parts as other figures. There is only a sword in his hand, and even that cannot be seen anywhere else, so it may be fused in place.

In Metaphor: ReFantazio, a unique fantasy world created by the creators of Persona 3, 4, and 5, the protagonist sets out on a journey with his fairy companion Gallica to lift the curse of the kingdom's lost prince.
