Hisoka is definitely one of the most popular characters. Hunter × Hunter. He first appears in the first arc of the story when the Hunter Trials are underway and has been involved in most of the story since then. Many people consider Hisoka to be the main character of HxH, along with Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio. That's partly because he followed the same birthday pattern as the protagonist.

Hisoka was a member of the Phantom Troupe for a while, and took on the role of Number 4 of the Phantom Troupe. However, he was not a loyal member and what he really wanted was a fight with the troupe's leader, Chrollo Lucilfer. However, their fight was pushed back several times due to various circumstances.

Hisoka has proven to be one of the strongest characters in the series. For Nen, he is a Transmuter. Hisoka uses two Nen abilities: Bungee Gum and Texture Surprise. The first is the Transmuter ability and the second is the Conjuration ability. Bungee gum allows you to transform your aura into a bouncy, sticky gum-like substance. It sounds like an overwhelming ability, but Hisoka is a skilled enough fighter to have this ability enhanced. Texture Surprise, on the other hand, is used to change the texture or appearance of something. This makes Hisoka a very versatile and interesting character to see in fights, as clearly seen in his fight with Kastro in the Heaven's Arena arc.

Hisoka loves a good fight and gets excited about it. He is looking for strong people that he will enjoy and fight with. One of his biggest targets is Chrollo. However, Hisoka is not particularly interested in fighting groups, nor in fighting against Inhumans, which includes powerful characters such as Chimera Ants.

Hisoka lives for the thrill of battle. Perhaps the most anticipated fight in the entire Hunter x Hunter was Hisoka vs. Chrollo. This is partly due to how long it was built. Hisoka tried to fight Chrollo for the first time in the York New City arc, but due to Kurapika's actions, Chrollo's Nen was sealed and he was unable to fight.

Hisoka wanted to fight Chrollo after he regained his powers sometime after the Greed Island incident, but Chrollo could stay away for the time being.

Lastly, currently in progress heightxheight In the Succession Contest arc, Hisoka was finally able to face Chrollo head-on. However, the latter had a huge advantage over Hisoka, because he had time to prepare for this fight, and Hisoka went into battle without any real plan or new abilities.

For this fight, Chrollo acquired several new Nen abilities, two of which came from his Phantom Troupe members Shalnark and Kortopi. As many fans know, this fight ended in Hisoka's death, despite him putting up a pretty good fight. But before he died, he ordered Bungee Gum to pump his heart and lungs again after death, which worked quite well. Hisoka was resurrected after fighting Chrollo, and wasted no time in taking drastic action.

Hisoka killed two Phantom Troupe members, Shalnark and Kortopi, leaving Chrollo without access to their abilities. He could have killed March, but he decided to keep her alive for the time being. All the spiders are currently chasing Hisoka and want to kill him before Chrollo gets to him.

Meanwhile, Chrollo is on a robbery spree. He plans to steal the Kakin Empire's three national treasures: the Seed Jar, Zen Zen, and Shinyun's Blade. If Chrollo can steal it, his Nen ability “Skill Hunter” will reach a new level, allowing him to steal rare and powerful Nen abilities. It's currently unknown what this ability is, but it could be something fans have already seen in the comics, or it could be a new ability that hasn't been revealed yet. With this ability, Chrollo seems confident that he can kill Hisoka for good.

What this also means is that Hisoka is now close to immortal. In theory, Hisoka can use his bungee gum to pump his heart and lungs as much as he wants, so killing him through normal methods may be impossible. Chrollo is willing to die to take Hisoka down, and that belief should definitely be taken seriously. The Succession Contest arc will see a rematch between Hisoka and Chrollo, and this time it may end up with both of them dying.
