War Thunder forum bans another user for sharing confidential documents

  • Another classified military document has reportedly been leaked on the War Thunder forums.

  • Users were told not to post the article, but did so anyway.

Another day, another military document reportedly leaked onto the War Thunder forums.

As UK Defense Journal reported, one user was warned not to share confidential documents on the forum by a moderator who was no doubt exhausted but did so anyway.

The document in question was published amid the debate over the CAPTOR radar, with the user reportedly sharing details about the Eurofighter Typhoon's system to prove his claims.

They were immediately banned and the documents removed. Like the Challenger 2 tank, Leclerc main tank, AH-64D Longbow Apache, Chinese ammunition system… At this point, it's clear what's going to happen the moment it hits the post.

In what appears to be a plea from a substitute teacher tired of an overly noisy class, a community manager asked forum users to stop posting classified military documents.

“I will take this as an opportunity to remind everyone here: do not, under any circumstances, post or share unless you are 100% sure the source is legally declassified and safe for public use.

“We will never process or use it, and all it does is actively harm any possible future changes by trying to use it. Please do not do that. There will be no harm from it to you or the vehicle you are posting on. There will be no benefit for you.”

Given how many times this has happened now, it's a plea that will undoubtedly fall on deaf ears.
