Magic: The Gathering will bring all Avatar products to market following a pre-launch week from November 14th to November 21st. There will be a number of items players can expect depending on their preferred format and collecting habits. Commander decks for Avatar weren't created by Wizards of the Coast, but Commander players can still have their cake and eat it too, thanks to several products supporting the format. The main set is the most obvious, but Avatar also has an eternal legal set. MTG Set on the side with a Jumpstart booster and a commander bundle adorning the top.
Commander decks are generally good because they allow new players to easily adapt to the format, and veteran players can buy fully-featured decks for cheap, including the occasional powerful and valuable reprint. Without exclusive use MTG The Commander Bundle for Commander Deck and Avatar seems to be the next best option. The problem is that with all the crossovers and specials, the game suffers from scalpers who buy these items in bulk and then resell them for higher prices than the original MSRP. The Commander's Bundle is currently selling for an average of $185-$200 on TCGPlayer and is sold out on official retailer sites. However, in most cases, it is impossible to break even.
The MSRP for the Avatar Commander's Bundle was $109.99.
13 of the 20 Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy Chocobo Bundle bonus cards are basically useless.
Magic: The Gathering will include two special cards in every Final Fantasy chocobo bundle, but 13 of the 20 are worthless.
Magic: The Gathering Avatar Commander Bundle Value Analysis
There are many examples of high and low value. Magic: The GatheringThis is the release details. recent turmoil around MTG The Encyclopedia Secret Lair drop is the biggest value of the spectrum, packing over $200 on a precious card. Instead, the Commander Bundle for Avatar isn't bad, but it can be incredibly difficult to get enough value to justify the current price. The reason is the following:
-
15 foil basic lands (including 5 full-art Appa lands)
-
15 non-foil lands (including 5 full-art Appa lands)
-
Booster Play for 9 Avatar Sets
-
1 Collector Booster from the Avatar Set
-
1 click wheel life counter
-
1 storage box
-
5 promo cards (3 predetermined, 2 random)
The MSRP for each product within the Avatar Commander Bundle is as follows:
-
$6.99 per Play Booster ($62.93 total)
-
Collector Booster $37.99
various MTG The lands included in the bundle aren't worth much, with foil full-art lands likely settling for less than $2 each, while non-foil lands are already worth less than $1. Likewise, the health counter and storage crates are nice additions, but they don't really have much value. What's left are the following promo cards:
-
Guaranteed Cards:
-
Arcane Seal (about $0.40)
-
Sol Ring (about $1.20)
-
Swiftfoot boots (about $1.20)
-
-
Random cards (2 of 10 per bundle):
-
Enlightened Teacher (white, about $30)
-
Perfect Mobility (white, about $15)
-
Mystical Teacher (blue, about $13)
-
Fierce Guardianship (blue, about $42)
-
Entomb (black, about $14)
-
Deadly Rollick (black, about $17)
-
Gamble (red, about $11)
-
Deflection Swat (red, about $61)
-
Worldly Tutor (green, about $19)
-
Obscuring Haze (green, about $6)

Why Avatar's Commander Bundle Doesn't Break It
Here are the average values of random cards: $22.80 for a single card and $45.60 for two cards. If the original MSRP was $110, this would be a fantastic deal, but for now, the value you'll get from the bundle is likely to be much lower. The combined value of random cards can be as low as $17 and as high as $103, so it ultimately comes down to how much an individual wins. However, this is also true for Play Boosters and Collector Boosters, which are more likely to break even (or worse) than those containing valuable cards.
Regardless of value MTG If you play boosters and collector boosters as is, the analysis looks a bit bleak. It is as follows:
-
$62.93 for Play Booster
-
Collector Booster $37.99
-
Foil land and accessories $10
-
$2.80 for guaranteed promotions (total value can reach $10-15 for special versions)
-
$22.80 on average per random promotion (although special versions may be more expensive)
- Total Value: $159.32
Is the Avatar Commander Bundle worth it?
Considering the current price of the Commander's Bundle, most players will have a hard time justifying spending $185-200 when the average value is so much lower, and in the best case, i.e. the random cards are Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat, it still totals around $216, which is barely more than what it costs. This can also happen in the new Secret Lairs. MTG Monster Hunter Secret Lair Superdrop, which is less valuable overall.
This doesn't necessarily mean the new Commander bundle isn't worth it. That's because some fans may simply enjoy the act of opening bundles to collect the unique cards they offer. However, for those looking for an amazing deal, the deal was only available at MSRP and not current price. all the hype around MTG Avatar cards like Wan Shi Tong, Librarian, Avatar Aang, and Firebending Student are very realistic and, with a little luck, could even be part of the Commander's Bundle. And with the same luck, you can get the foundation for a powerful Commander deck with cards like Enlightened Tutor, Fierce Guardianship, and Deflecting Swat.
