Pokemon players can be a pretty impatient bunch, and honestly, I'm one of them. Due to the lack of voice acting in the game, it can be very easy to mash out past dialogue that you're not overly invested in in order to reap the rewards and have a good time. But it's fine in almost every Pokemon game except Legends: ZA, which has a bit more depth and unique side quests than the rest of the series.
For example, you can find many NPCs throughout Lumiose City who want you to bring them specific Pokémon, which usually have very specific requirements regarding size. There are a couple of people who want you to hand over the Pokémon you've found, and their intentions are pretty clear from the start, but it seems like a pretty surprising number of fans are accusing this poor NPC of stealing their Pokémon. Some of them were the most important sparkles.
Pokemon Legends: ZA NPC is Stealing Shiny Pokemon
One of these fans is Reddit user Gay_Pink_Dragon (amazing name, by the way). He accidentally gave away a shiny Pumpkaboo, not realizing that the quest giver would take it as part of the quest. In the post embedded above, we can actually see quest giver Taille standing proudly at the front of Pumpkaboo's line. One of them is dark purple, and is also next to a very dejected Gay_Pink_Dragon.
Surprisingly, they are not the only players who have lost Pokémon in this way. In the comments of Gay_Pink_Dragon's post, there's another person named Unknown Ghost-0 who shares a screenshot of the shiny Gogoat he accidentally gave away as part of Side Quest 63. This will help you find Gogoat to help you with your man's business. In fact, a similar Reddit post last week by a user named VillainWhale brought up the issue of this person stealing his Gogoat. But fortunately Gogoat did not shine.
Sure, you could accuse these poor NPCs of stealing your Pokemon, but your argument certainly wouldn't hold up in court. Both NPCs clearly state that they want to keep the Pokémon you find forever, so if you haven't actually completed this side quest yet, read on to find out exactly what these guys want from you. I think this proves once and for all that Pokemon games desperately need voice acting.
