With launch Pokemon Legends: ZAPlayers will have the opportunity to return to the Kalos region and explore the expansive map of Lumiose City to catch and train their favorite animals. However, not all types are created equal. Pokemon Legends: ZAThe Pokedex proves that some monsters are more desirable than others when it comes to presentation. Some fans may be disappointed to learn that their favorite Pokémon types are greatly underrepresented within the game. Legendary: ZA With the Pokedex, you have few options to integrate these animals into your team.
When it comes to team building Pokemon Legends: ZAPicking a balanced team with good type coverage is essential. For this purpose, there are a large number of animals to choose from, allowing players to choose which monsters they want to use while maintaining the necessary attack and defense variety. while Pokemon Legends: ZA's Pokémon Encyclopedia contains 234 mons, with the Ice type having the least representation, so players should choose wisely when adding mons to their team.
Pokemon Legends: ZA has bad news for Ice-type fans.
Ice-type Pokémon have never been the best when it comes to defense, boasting a whopping four weaknesses and one resistance, but they do make excellent attackers with solid coverage against Ground, Grass, Flying, and Dragon types. So the Ice type could be a good fit for players looking to add a glass cannon creature to their roster. Lumiose City doesn't seem to be as friendly to Ice types as it is to other Pokemon types. Because there are only 14 unique species found there.
In Legend: ZA, you can only get 14 Ice-type Pokémon.

Down from 24 ice monsters Pokemon X and Y, Legendary: ZA We've cut out some of the best options in the series for players to choose from. Weavile, Lapras, and Mamoswine all miss out on access to the Lumiose City, despite the Kalos region having iconic frozen locations like Dendemille City, Frost Cavern, and Snowbelle City. Geographically, these areas must be far enough away from Lumiose City to make it difficult for certain species to survive in an urban environment. Therefore, players looking to add Ice-types to their team should consider Froslass, Glalie, and Abomasnow as their best options.
There's still hope for Ice-types in Pokemon Legends: ZA.
It's not all doom and gloom for Ice-Type fans. Pokemon Legends: ZADespite the drastic reduction in the total number of representatives. Ice-Types still boast three Mega Evolutions. Legendary: ZAThis is a huge win over the overall Pokedex representation. In addition to the two returning Megas, Ice-Type also receives one of several new Mega Evolutions added to . Mega Frog (New Legendary: ZA)
Mega Froslass is the undisputed star of the Ice-Types show. Pokemon Legends: ZAThis latest game marks Mega's first appearance. It is also introduced as a fast special attacker with dual Ghost/Ice types for wider STAB attack range.
Its counterpart, Mega Glalie, splits its attack stats into special and physical attacks, allowing Mega Froslass to optimize its damage output and give an edge to players who prefer special attacks over physical attacks. Mega Froslass is preferred over Mega Abomasnow because it suffers from similar problems as Mega Glalie. In splitting attack stats into physical and special, speed stats are drastically reduced and there are a lot more weaknesses. Despite the overall ice types in the Pokedex being limited, Mega Froslass is one reason ice type fans will find it interesting. Legendary: ZA.
