One Piece: All Known Ancient Joan Devil Fruit
The Ancient Joan Devil Fruit is one of the most unique fruits in One Piece. Here's what we know about everything that's been revealed so far.
The majority of devil fruits that appear tend to have names that identify the exact form of the user. Unfortunately, not all Zoan Devil Fruits have achieved such distinction, and for a small number of current users, their exact abilities are unclear, other than that they are rarely visible.
6 Onigumo's Devil Fruit
Onigumo can transform into a spider
- Debut: Episode 420 (manga), Episode 302 (animation)
Lieutenant General Onigumo was one of the five men dispatched to Enies Lobby's Buster Call. He firmly believes in absolute justice, and the saber appears to be his preferred weapon. His Devil Fruit allows him to transform into a spider, but the exact type is unclear, although it is even unclear if there is a specific type it comes from.
Onigumo primarily uses this ability, tending to wield six additional swords in combat in addition to the pair on his actual arms. This is somewhat similar to the sword style of Hatchan and Hyojo, who use their octopus-like physiology to carry extra swords. It seems like there are extra appendages extending from the hair as well, which seems to be the extent of the Devil Fruit ability's use. Other potential spider abilities, such as web usage or potential venom, seem to be of little interest to him if he can actually do either.
5 Epoida's Devil Fruit
Epoida can transform into a caterpillar.
- Debut: Episode 553 (manga), Episode 467 (animation)
Epoida is a subordinate captain of the Whitebeard Pirates who historically sailed with his crew before setting off on his own voyage. The exact extent of his powers is still unknown, but he is presumed to be quite strong as one of Whitebeard's junior captains, some of whom have been shown to be paired as equals with the Vice Admiral or collectively destroy the Pacifista .
Epoida is the only confirmed Devil Fruit user, especially among the Lesser Captains. An unnamed devil fruit allows him to transform into a caterpillar, but it's unclear how exactly this affects his fighting skills (if it actually affects him at all). His body appears to be cross-sectioned, similar to the pattern of a hybrid striped shirt. It is unknown if he can transform from his base form into a butterfly. If so, it would probably be similar to Baron Tamago, who tends to go back and forth between three forms in one cycle, from egg to chicken. Like Epoida, this aspect is likely to remain unexplored due to its already limited relevance in the series.
4 Dalmatian Devil Fruit
Allows your Dalmatian to transform into a dog
- Debut: Episode 553 (manga), Episode 462 (animation)
Dalmatian, as his name suggests, is a lieutenant general who possesses a devil fruit that appears to transform him into an iconic dog breed. According to kennel clubThe Dalmatian “has excellent endurance and a reasonable change of pace.” The exact physical abilities of a Dalmatian have not yet been measured in depth, but these traits are likely necessary to become a Vice Admiral. Dalmatians almost always appear as a hybrid, with both canine and human features appearing in different parts of the face.

One Piece: 22 Most Powerful Animal Devil Fruits (So Far)
Zoan Devil Fruits provide incredible abilities to their users. It's the most powerful thing we've ever introduced.
Rather than relying on weapons, Dalmatian trained Rokushuki and strengthened his body to the point where it could pierce Luffy's skin. In this respect, he is similar to various CP0 members who utilized Rokushki along with his Zoan form. It's unclear how he compares physically to Rob Lucci, but as a lieutenant general, he would have considerable power behind his title.
3 Stussy's Devil Fruit
Turn Stussy into a vampire bat(?)
- Debut: Episode 860 (manga), Episode 830 (animation)
Stussy is a clone of Miss Buckingham Stussy, a somewhat older pirate once known as Whitebeard and her lover. She was a product of MADS, an illegal research organization comprised of Vegapunk and other prominent scientists. Stussy served as Vegapunk's mole and became a masked agent of Cipher Pol 0 for over a decade without arousing suspicion.
In the Egghead Arc, she betrayed Lucci and Kaku when they attempted to fight Vegapunk, growing wings and draining their blood to take down her fellow agents. The exact plan of action is unclear, but it is most likely a devil fruit. It is noteworthy that this Devil Fruit can stun users who have awakened the Devil Fruit, even though they appear not to have awakened. However, it is unclear whether this is a demonstration of Stussy's power or the Devil Fruit itself. Due to the existence of real vampire bats and the fictional nature of vampires, they may be either standard or mythical creatures. It has some similarities to Patrick Redfield's Devil Fruit. One Piece: Unlimited World RedHowever, it is not shown to have any exact function, so it falls into the mythical category.
2 pomsky
Transforming a Pomsky into a sea otter
- Debut: Episode 1089 (Cartoon)
This Lieutenant General debuted in the recently concluded Egghead Arc, and was one of the nine people involved in the incident known as the Egghead Incident. Compared to other lieutenant generals, little is known about him except for his rather fascinating Devil Fruit.

One Piece: Top 5 Strongest Mermaids in the Series, Ranked
Despite their relative rarity, the mermaids in One Piece are impossible to ignore, and some of them are impressively powerful.
Pomsky can transform into a sea otter using an unnamed devil fruit. However, due to the unique properties of the Devil Fruit, Pomskies are unable to exercise one of the mammals' main assets: the ability to effectively traverse water. Although sea otters can travel across land, many of their characteristics are fundamentally adapted to life in the water. Nonetheless, the Pomsky went all out with the underwater theme, using a sledgehammer with a clam-shaped hammerhead as his main weapon.
1 five elders
Chimera of mythical animals
- Debut Episode 233 (manga), Episode 151 (animation)
These semi-immortal oligarchs are the public face of Imu, the true ruler of the world. Each of them is responsible for a specific position, such as justice, finance, and agriculture, all of which are declared “warrior gods.” Even though one of their number has died and been replaced, there is still a lot that fans don't know about these individuals, including the names known as Devil Fruits. Each appears to be a rather esoteric mythical Joan, the rarest variant of the Devil Fruit.
Each form is Itsumade (Marcus Mars). Fengxi (Topman Warcury), a monstrous bird; the demonic boar Bakotsu (Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro); Skeleton Horse, Sandworm (Shepherd Peter the Lord); Gyuki (Jaygarcia Saturn) with a giant bug that can swallow everything; A bizarre bull spider hybrid. Each of them also appears to be “awakened.” Due to Saturn's execution, it is unclear what type of Devil Fruit the newest Elder, Figarland Garling, possesses, or if he even has one.
